    Don't defend a bet welcher.

I told you I would do an account "loser leaves town" bet with you.

Just as good as 20 bucks.

Kovalev over Stevenson. If it happens and Stevenson wins, I'll leave Classic for good. I'm not like Dino the Welcher, I honor my bets. Kovalev wins, you leave.

    Take it or leave it.

    What are you talking about?

Pulev was feinting a lot as well as kept his hands up high. The right hands weren't easy to get through and the jabs weren't either.

The left hook was there, but there is no way it should be over in 2 rounds unless Wlad really ramped up the action.

Pulev is a good fighter and had tremendous amount of guts to attack Wlad the way he did. A lot of HW champions would have had a difficult fight with KP.

This is how I saw it. Pulev had the ***** and strength to attack in thid fight ratheThan play it safe and get the slow beatdown. And he paid the price for this strategy.

This is my post to which you are replying
"Always honour your bets, that's always supposing you can find someone to bet with"

    Where did I defend him?:huh

There seems to be a reading proficiency issue on this forum.
I realise Mendoza is sub normal but I assumed everyone else can at least comprehend a simple sentence.

The bet I proposed with you was for $50 ,I asked you for clarification because I didn't understand what you meant by ,"an account bet ," my slow mind .

Why would I want you to leave the forum? I'd sooner have the $50 ,it was a fun bet as I said.
    Here's what you said.

"I only do account bets here. I can't do cash bets anymore"

    I replied the following
"I don't understand the underlined, can you explain it for me?
    I was talking about a gentleman's agreement.
If I win, you send me the UK equivalent of $50,if you win, I do the same in dollars"

Where is the problem in doing a bet for money?
If you want to make it for a smaller sum fine, it's only a fun bet.

You need to come down off that high horse now and again, you're getting altitude sickness.

That is only partly correct. While being a journeyman classifies you as a boxer who doesn't have the skill to achieve championship status, it also entails the fact that you're boxing in front of your opponents hometown crowd where you are expected to lose. The journeyman is handpicked and paid for by the managers of the opponent to pad the record of winner.

This is critical. Pulev pads his record with journeyman. If you consistently beat journeyman, can you be one yourself?

If Pulev's skillset is on the level of a journeyman, then why has no journeyman (out of the 20 he fought) even been able to trouble him? He outclassed and dominated every one of them. Therefore, Pulev's skillset is clearly way beyond a journeyman. The entire comparison is laughable.

Your definition of a journeyman is what is laughable.

If you are a sucker for left and right hands, have feet stuck in cement ,have zero head movement and have a primitive skill set you are by definition a journeyman.
Or do you disagree with Frank Lotieros assessment of Pulev's performance in The Sweet Science?
Check out what he said and compare it to what I said.
"He really was a poor man’s Klitschko, and he stood right in front of Wladimir with his head straight up and offered little or no movement. Yes, that's basically the strategy the slower-handed Kubrat Pulev 20-1 (11) attempted to beat the best heavyweight in the world, Wladimir Klitschko 63-3 (53), with this past weekend.
Pulev was every bit as crude stylistically as most perceived him to be. He was a sitting duck for Klitschko's right hands and left hooks"
If you only beat journeymen how can you be rated above them?

"Journeymen will often serve as opponents for young up and coming prospects and will often step in at late notice should a fight fall through. Journeymen are said to have little or no expectation of winning fights against contenders or gatekeepers, but this does not preclude them from having a winning record against less-skilled fighters."

    The proof of the pudding-----

    His three best wins are:

Alexander Dimitrenko 32-1 at time they fought. 6'7 240ish.
    Alexander Ustinov 26-0 6'8 300lbs
Tony Thompson 38-3 6'5 240ish only two losses in last decade were to Wlad going into fight.

Individually I would not be overly impressed with any singular win listed above but collectively they do paint the picture of someone who fares well against large capable men. A giant killer so to speak.

Add in Kubrat's extensive and highly successful amateur career and you see someone not to be taken lightly. There is a reason both Tomasz Adamek (a fighter willing to fight almost anyone) and Tyson Fury (a loudmouth young contender) both turned down title eliminators against Pulev.

I give Mcvey credit he came out right away before the fight and blasted Pulev's skills unlike 99 percent of the posters on this site. Who wait to see if Wlad struggles So they can say he sucks and if he wins big they can say Pulev sucks. Typical Wlad haters.

I was impressed and still am in Pulev. He was all wrong for Wlad but if he is not damaged from that fight I think he will be heard from again.

I agree about Pulev and he paid for the strategy of trying to pressure Vlad, he showed a lot of guts and lets face it got up from tremendous punches stood on one wobbly leg to prove he was not hurt. He tried to press and made Vlad fire bombs quicker than he normally would have.

If Pulev is not ruined he can come back and may beat Stiverne, Fury and Jennings if he stays focused

Pulev a journeyman??? You sad old man! For openers Pulev was an accomplished Amateur star, winning gold in the European championships. You can make a case the European amateur championships is even harder to win than the Olympics because you face the same guys in the semi’s for the most part, and don’t have the easy draws from South America, and The South Pacific.

As a professional Pulev was undefeated, clearing out good journeyman like Sprott Rossy ,Vidoz, Walker, and Skelton.

He then defeated fringe contender types in Ustinov, and Dimitrenko.

He achieved top ten status by beating fellow top ten contender Tony Thompson.

Pulev was not a protected fighter at all. He was moved on a fast track. And he was ranked #1 by Ring Magazine? Journeyman you say? GTFO!

If you want the definition of a journeyman fighting for the title, see Jack Jonson’s title defense vs. Tony Ross. How good was Ross? Well, he only won 1 of his last 7 before receiving a title fight from Jack Johnson.

Im going to have to correct you there as you made a blunder.

Fury accepted and was going into a fight with Pulev before he got a call from David Haye who offered him a massive PPV bout on Sky Box Office.
Had the Haye fight not come calling , he would of fought him and battered him.
Haye was a worse worse style match up for Fury so how can you accuse the man of ducking Pulev to fight a much harder fight against Haye?

OK, so who are you going to accuse Wlad of ducking, and pick to beat him now?

I will remember that I heard it here first!

I only got Fury left. But ive said that for a while.

Remember Wlad wanted no part of sparring Fury in camp a few years back and his trainer said he would be a future champ.

There was no blunder, perhaps you wanted to clarify the situation but the fact remains he turned down the Pulev fight. We'll never know if he would have fought him because he didn't. Let's not forget he did turn down the chance to fight Ustinov who accepted the challenge on short notice, a fighter Pulev dominated.
