Most people seem to pick Stiverne. But the bookies have it big for Wilder. Interesting.

This one is worse. Wilder beating up a mentally handicapped welterweight.

If the fix isn't in, going off what we know, they must simply be hypnotised by the pretty numbers.

The Stiverne bet looks a good one.

    Yes.

Seriously, Wilder catches him with a pretty good check hook in that video and decks him.

But when he tries to follow up with an uppercut on an opponent that is kneeling on the ground with his hands up, and manages to miss, Charlie is up and bouncing around and ready to fight.

And Charlie has a glass jaw. And is about 100lbs lighter

    Certainly does.

Al Hayman is connected with Wilder. Supposedly, and this is just rumour, Hayman has bought up air time during the Superbowl specifically to laud the new heavyweight champion of the world. That would be a colossal payout on spec.

Of course, he has this NBC thing coming off and can use the airtime regardless but it does feel a bit weird this build up. I dunno, I'm not really one for this type of speculation and bs but i don't really know.

I would expect Wilder to be a favourite in the US, that's natural. But in the UK, who even knows these dudes?

Thanks McGrain, good stuff, A lot of talk and that is what makes it interesting. Both guys are not that deep Stiverne showed lots of power vs Areola and Wilder has had some wicked KO'd but have not fought at the top level. I am thinking the fight ends before the 5th but if it goes later it could be a weird finish. Who lands hard 1st should be telling.

I might bang a few bucks on a first round ko just for a giggle.

Here's hoping the Malik Scott episode was not a precursor to something awfully manufactured.

To think that it's on the cards, and Stiverne's unfortunate pay check...

A Bermane haymaker may be for the good of boxing.

Wilder needs a lucky punch to capture this one. He has no balance, footwork and wings his punches. I am laying pretty heavy of Stiverne.

You nailed it. I think part of the reason for the interest in this fight is many feel Wilder unfairly got this match under dubious results.

Wilder almost seems to be an attempt to manufacture an American heavyweight champion.

Don't really pay attention much to the current scene, but hope Wilder wins to take on Klitschko for the undisputed championship.I would rather see that than any Mayweather-Pacquiao ****.
