There were moments last night when Golovkin seemed a touch slow, and some believe he took unnecessary shots but you ultimately have to drown these opinions when you take in the full picture, the end result; another fight in which the Kazakh barely lost a round or suffered a bruise.

power and pressure a rough force to survive and under rated

“He was so strong, I just couldn’t keep him off,” Murray said of Golovkin when speaking with The Mail. “I felt his power, but it was more his pressure. I’ll take a rest and then look and see what’s left for me at middleweight. I’d love a big fight with Andy Lee; of course I hope he comes through against Peter Quillin. If there’s nothing out there for me at middleweight I may move up, but I’m sure there will be [something at 160.] I definitely think I’m the second best middleweight in the world but I haven’t got a belt.”

I want to see who he fights next because outside of Andy Lee I think every other elite fighter in the division is terrorfied to get in the ring with this guy.

This guy could maybe even beat Hagler. He seems to look that good. You could hit Hagler. Prime Hopkins is a different story though.

But how good is he really when there's no elite guys in the division. Every fight he has is a surefire victory. You know the outcome before it even begins and it will stay that way until he moves up.
He doesn't seem to have any intention of moving up and taking on challenges. I'll be disappointed if he stays at middle. There's no point watching this sport if you know the outcome is going to be the same time after time.

Not his fault but he can actually do something about it. Who the hell wants to see him fight a blown up welter in what would be a sanctioned slaughter.

There's nothing at middle. Why stay there. If Murray is your best opponent , its time to get out. But it looks like the mismatches will go on.

    1. It looks like his 'natural' weight. He belongs there.
    2. He's winning.

    3. LOOK at Hagler. Made money, seeded his life after boxing, is regarded as one of the greatest of all time, by dominating one division for a very long time. Hopkins, another one.

Its not good for the sport tho , is it? Bigger and better fights are there to be made. Its a spectator sport at the end of the day. Nobody is interested in whats good for him. Why should anybody be bothered if he stays at middle picking off easy matches.

He apparently batted the Krusher in sparring who is the best LHW on the planet so he's clearly primed and ready to fight at 168.

Who wants to see him chase a fight with a blown up welter ffs. Thats not what boxing is about.

Hagler had the big time fights and big names.

Hopkins moved up two weight divisions to go after better fights.

His middle weight run isn't regarded as anything spectacular

Hopkins was wealthy, famous and regarded as one of the best fighters on the planet going into his fight with Taylor.

If you want him to move up in weight, that's fine, but making out that he can't do business at 160 is silly.

Fighting the blown-up welters worked well enough for Hagler, and for Hopkins (Trinidad).

Hopkins moved up to light-heavy after 9 years as middleweight titlist, and after losing his middleweight title.

Who the hell is at 168 anyway ?
I'm not sure Froch or Ward are even going to be around long.
