Wlad on the under. Like the Pulev fight, he's going to be looking to impress.

Jennings does have good footwork, but I don't think he's fast enough.

Jennings is skilled and good, his performance against Spilska (spelling?) was impressive. That said, Wlad is too much and levels above.

Jennings is very well conditioned and has good ring generalship, he is a smart guy in and outside the ring and takes his business seriously. That being said unless the 39 year old Vlad gets old overnight he is a huge step up for Jennings. Vlad has to keep the fight on the outside but Jennings has a 84 inch reach so Vlad may have to adjust. Vlad should fight the same way he fought Haye and maintain his pace and attack conservatively and think 12 but wait for the strike.

Jennings has to set the pace and tee off when he can. Both men are in fine condition. Vlad by stop or decision.

This was my pre-fight opinion....I thought Jennings did well to survive but in honesty I was not as impressed as the HBO commentators. Jennings fought a Kevin Johnson kind of fight except that he flurried to the body inside when he felt safe but no real telling punches.

Vlad finished the fight strong in the 12th when Jennings pressed and then Jennings went back in his shell. I gave Jennings 2 rds and one may have been even then the point deduction. Vlad is 39 but still had a dominant victory despite Kellerman and the others jumping from nutsack to nutsack.

I still pick Povetkin to beat Jennings and Wilder should as well.

I have to give Vlad much credit at 39 fighting all styles and ages but it may be time to get out on top. No one gives Lennox much slack for bowing out of a big money rematch with Vitali and Vlad is older and has not had a fight that was as close as Lewis-Vitali

If Vlad wants to go to 65 wins against Fury (I favor Vlad with some risk) he may be tempted to fight Wilder after and that fight could be too much at 40 year of age. Wilder can punch and is large. I heard reports that when they sparred Vlad dropped Wilder several times and could have KO'd him but time can change all things.

Jennings looked very good in the Szpilka fight tbh. This is a different animal though.

I just watched Jennings against Perez, and I don't think he has any chance at all.

Wlad is getting up there, but Jennings is just perfect cannon fodder.

That is the flip side I thought he looked very ordinary against Perez myself. Solid fundamentals and good condition but he didn't look like he had any outstanding attributes or another gear in that fight.

Dont fight like the haye fight, please. Im on board the klitchko train after the pulev stop, ill be jumping right off it if this a hayesque type performance.

But i dont believe it will be, Jennings doesnt carry hayes power or speed, but he does have a heart and from knowledge a healthy toe, so i think he will go out fighting. :good

I' m not sure what you want here?
If it's a straight pick I go for Wlad by mid to late rounds stoppage
.As far as I'm concerned Jennings has done nothing to justify a title shot.
If he should win, I would put it down to Wlad growing old over night.Who the f*ck has Jennings beat?

If Jennings gets lucky,I gaurantee you he will fight a nobody in his first defence.

at 39 wlad is due to show up depleted one of these nights....I'd like to see someone with speed come at him from angles...step in close to him but to his sides..hit and out again...speed is a winner and maybe just maybe jennings will have enough speed...tactics is another thing though...if he comes in directly in straight lines ..forget about it

    Good point.

(My granny used to say the young may go but the old must.)

The key for Wlad is knowing when that day comes and retiring before some prospect illustrates it for him.

Mcvet is an idiot. Jennings earned his shot, and gave Wlad his toughest fight in years. Great athlete, heart, and aggressive body attack.
