Likes of Foreman, Liston, Ali, Frazier, Louis, etc.

Who would benefit the most with modern training and nutrition?

Foreman with modern training and roids would be 250 pounds and lean. And he wouldnt even need to lift weights. He would be a natural 250 pounder.

He would go through the HW division today like it was nothing.

    Nonsense

Foreman was 6'3" 220 pounds in his early 20's. in his 40's much heavier - Just like Luis Ortiz who is now high 230's. pretty much the same size as George. Ortiz would have been down in the 220's in his 20's also.

Roids aren't just about mass and adding mass doesn't mean better

If you stuck Fury on roids he wouldn't be heavier...just trade more fat for muscle in camp.

Try going on roids and tell me you dont add muscle mass.

Roided 70s Foreman destroys this division.

Mass is not the main goal for boxers. Especially when there are naturally heavier men.

AJ & Whyte can roid their nipples off to hit the high 250's but they still can't hold the weight effectively as a boxer, unlike Fury who is natty.

Stick Fury on PEDS and make the aim just to add mass he'd hit the 280's and stay lean but it does nothing for him. Not a bodybuilding contest

Mass is not important? Then why do you bring up how much Fury weighs constantly?

Because he's a natty big man with the gifts of smaller men. 7'2" 300 pounds. BIG DOG.

Wait, so, no weights, and George would gain 30–33 lbs on account of what modern-fangled training doohickery exactly? And what "roids" would he be using to magically layer up well over two stone of lean tissue without the use of weight training? Such substances exist?

Do you even know what you're saying?

Muscle mass isn't that important. In fact it drains stamina and does not necessarily add ko power. Those fighters mentioned from the 70s and 80s maxed their potential. Roids wouldn't have made much of a difference and who knows if they were using or not.

Why ban them if they don't improve performance?

What PED's allow you to do is train more, train harder, and recover faster. They absolutely improve your performance. The more you train the better your skills. The juice a boxer uses wouldn't necessarily be the same as what a bodybuilder uses.

And yes, studies show a guy using anabolic roids and not working out will actually gain more muscle mass than a full on natty busting his butt at the gym.

250 lbs is too much for AJs frame, much less the smaller Foreman.

Might depend in how lean he is, too. Foreman was 230 in some of his later 70s fights without any weight training, roids, etc. He was just a very large framed, big guy.

There was a study. One group took roids and didnt lift weights. The other didnt take roids, but lifted weights. The group sitting on their ass and taking roids gained more muscle mass. That's how much roids help.
