I actually sparred with someone that was on the juice.
Wasn't a hidden thing because he had stopped competing and was just still going to the boxing gym to spar and stay in shape. And he was pretty up front about taking steroids.
So I had sparred him quite a few times. Both pretty much the same weight - jr.lightweight/ lightweight.
So in the previous sparring he was pretty strong but nothing to write home about.
He was the shorter fighter and he would bull his way into me but I was as strong as he was and could handle it pretty good.
So at this time I think he had 5/6 pounds on me. Not sure how long he had been taking steroids.
So we start sparring and like usual he gets on the inside. BUT this time he was like SUPER STRONG.
I couldn't push him off like I usually did and I swear when I tried to it felt like trying to push a wall.
I'd go to tie him up and it was like I was a child trying to tie up an adult.
We sparred about 3/4 rounds and his strength was insane.
So all this talk about this or that on what steroids might and might not do - let me tell you they give that person a big advantage.
Unless you have actually sparred with someone on the juice and physically FELT how strong they are your just guessing.

Turnip mk3 and cross_trainer like this.
