I wasn't suggesting De La Hoya should trade with Tito Trinidad, but he could have carried on boxing effectively from distance, actually throwing scoring shots, whether they be jabs or right hands.
For sure, he could have thrown more shots but the way in which he was being knocked around by shots that weren't even clean in those rounds says to me that oscar was spent. But if he'd just danced and pumped the jab he would have sealed the deal, very strange. Basically Oscar messed up and his image never quite recovered in the minds of hardcore boxing fans.
DLH fought the way he did cause he knew he couldnt trade with tito..and he didnt ran the last few rds because he knew he won the fight he ran cause if he didnt he wouldve been KO.. stop with the excuses already how can he fight the way he fought agaisnt quartey, mosley and all his previous opponents but against tito he changed.. he was scared bottom line and then he didnt want a rematch either.. lol :hat
