    Got kicked off a computer ... I'm finishing my previous post.

    1) The good news: I counted all the votes for each boxer (thru June) at each ranking-spot;
    2) The bad news: I added up all the votes at each ranking-position, and my total's are a bit off for fourth, fifth, sixth and eight place votes.

    If my tallies are correct, currently (7/5/09), the man who would fight any boxer in the world except James J Jeffries (Sam Langford) has been mentioned on seven ballots -- exactly and all of one less than the number of ballots (eight) mentioning Jeffries himself. :huh

    Now, I'm not scratching my head over the number of ballots Langford has received .....

    In 1904 ,when Jeffries retired as Champ, Langford was 21 years old and weighed around 150lbs.Anyone think it was cowardly of him at 5 ' 7'' 150lbs, not wanting to meet the 6' 2'' 220lbs Jeffries? :patsch
    Two years later ,when Langford got a hiding from Jack Johnson he only weighed 156lbs .
    Want to see Shane Mosley in with Wlad?

    Why do you call Ali "Clay?" Are just trying to provoke a reaction? I'm not mad, I'm just wondering...

    That is correct.

    Results will be sticky'd and then we move on to another poll for another division that will close on August 15, and we will do one a month until we have covered each of the original eight weight classes.

    After that, I guess we can delve into the super/junior weight classes, too.
