Tyson had one loss when he fought Holyfield and had destroyed all opponents he faced when he got out of jail up till then.

Tyson's resume is being better based on him unifiying the belts against good competition, but Holyfield is the only 4 time heavyweight champion of the world.

Tyson's resume IS NOT better than Holyfield's. Rather, it is a product of people using revisionist history. Saying Holyfield and Tyson weren't on the same side of the hill when they fought does not make sense to me. And yet these are usually the same people that say Lewis is better than Holyfield even though then Lewis was CLEARLY in his prime and Holyfield was CLEARLY past his.

all in all, a very good list, especially the top five. Good work, Rumsfeld--I know you had to donate a great deal of time to doing this.

Don't forget to make your lists for a similar poll for the light heavyweight division.

    Superb work on your part.

    A solid list.

I hope that our list is at least as thought provoking than the IBRO's.

I noticed Holmes and Lennox are neck and neck.

I would put Lennox ahead of Holmes, I feel he beat better competition.

Those that put Holmes ahead, what is your reason?

I have Holmes at #3 and Lennox at #7.

For me, longevity counts a long way, and 20 consecutive title defenses over such a long period of time are extraordinary in my view.

You said in another thread you had Tyson at #11.

    This begs the questions:

    1. Where do you rate Lewis?
    2. Where do you rate Ruiz?

    :D
