"As go the heavyweights, so goes boxing"
This hasn't been true since Oscar.
HW division in the early to mid 80's was poor but at the same time in boxing we had the Fab 4 as well as the likes of Aaron Pryor and Alexis Arguello
Apart from the fact that they are objectively better than all the others (ie. they would beat them), you might have some sort of point.
But I doubt it.
2004 Jameel McCline vs 1988 Tony Tubbs Who ya got!!!!!!
Not true if you truly love the sport. Its the most glamorous division. But not close to being the most exciting.
Everyone knows the real debate is 2002 win streak Zuri Lawrence vs 1987 Mike Williams coming off his loss to Witherspoon. Let's get to the bottom of this hypothetical heavyweight barrel!
lol LHWs are **** too for all the same reasons when compared to the lower weights.
Naw, Cleveland Williams vs AJ
Why not just start the threads you want to see?
Good quality heavyweights from the past, not gigantic ones that are on a modern special nutritional diet,(Steroids)
For me it is one of the most exciting
Welcome back El Gallo.
Why start a thread that gets 3 replies and sinks faster than the Titanic.
Easier to start a Marciano thread that goes on for 15 pages.
Mccline smacks out 88Tubbs.
