That's fair, I think it falls into my 'Ricky Burns could beat Arguello' (I'm deliberately being mental) type pick.

In one thousand contests, Lewis beats Haye every time IMO.

To be honest I was a big fan of Haye but unless he actually redeems himself win lose or draw in a FIGHT against vitali, his so called legacy will be one of conjecture.....I do think he is better than the bull or the rock....or should I say COULD have been....see, there is the big problem...

Haye wouldn't come out aggressive against Lewis, he was particularly negative against Wlad who is basically Lewis-lite in pretty much every department.

It was as if he was content just to get his money and get home safely, rather than daring to actually win the fight and possibly get knocked out in the process.

It's the heavyweight championship of the world FFS, not a pissy interclub amateur fight.

Not so 'out of the box' though :nono I'll go for Tito based on his superior resilience when whacked, but if he went down in the 2nd against Jackson (like he did in most fights) then I'm not certain there's any way back for him.

 

Abraham vs (pre-Hagler) Mugabi would be one of the most brutal fights on film & Abraham would/could win.

 

It's funny how people use Mugabi in fantasy matchups and always insert the ''pre-Hagler'' caveat.

He really was ruined in that fight, not sure whether it was physical or mental, or both, but he was effectively done afterwards.

I guess he'd got the big fight against a ledge and couldn't win, after that nothing was ever going to be the same. I like how he gets decked, sits up and then looks at Hagler, then looks down with a stunned look on his face before taking the count.

Mugabi for me would get rid of AA in the middle rounds, in a bloodbath.

 

Mugabi was really a light middle though.

I like how skilled he looked in the early going against Marv'. Bar getting his head taken off (post-Hagler he suffered a ruined eye as well) I'd pick him to beat Abraham handily.
