Lennox Lewis told a magazine that he can come back and win a belt. Do you agree with him?

No. He would get ****ing destroyed by a marginal contender.

I disagree 100%. Lewis would beat a marginal contender.

    Yeah.

But he's shuffled on a **** load of weight, and he's mad old. He was old when he HAMMERED Vitali. He's older than the Crypt Keeper. It's a bad idea all round.

You do think it's a bad idea?

Lewis can get down to 260 in a camp for sure. He is not that heavy. While Lewis is older, he is still big, still smart, and can punch. I think he could come back beat a fringe contender person right out of the gate, and possibly pull off an upset win for a world title.

Do I think its a bad idea? No. As long as Lewis is healthy, he can add to boxing.

Lewis beats most but a high workrate guy with a good chin stops him now...how about Povetkin?

Lewis will still be smart and still have his massive right hand and uppercut. He takes out Povetkin if he has a little left.

I pretty much agree with Mendozas opinion on Lewis. Assuming he's in good shape I could see him knocking off some top 10 and perhaps even some top 5 guys.

Lennox is 44 years old. That is older than either Holmes or Foreman were when they faced Evander Holyfield. That is just a year shy of what Foreman was when he defeated Moorer.

Lewis is older than Bernard Hopkins.

It would take 12 weeks just for Lewis to get into 6 round fighting condition. Another 8 weeks to compete at a Journeyman's level. Lewis may make the top 10 on announcing a comeback, but he would need close to a year of activity to be in the top 20 performance wise.

mendoza wants lewis to come back so vitali can try to beat him, all he cares about his vitali, not lennox's health. face it, vitali will never ever be able to hold lennox lewis's jock strap

37 year old lennox TKO 6 Vitali

too old, too shopworn, too long inactive. No way. And I hope it doesn't happen.

I wouldn't doubt it! Lennox never took much punishment during his boxing career, and I think he lived a pretty clean and healthy lifestyle. With his natural ring talent, in addition to his physical attributes, I think Lewis would have a definite shot of winning some type of belt again.

Think Lewis might be angling to break George Foreman's record?????

I agree with what you're saying. He should stay retired - he had his day, he beat everyone, he dominated the boxing world, he cemented his legacy long ago.

Why risk damaging your status over a unnecessary fight like this? I really don't see what he's got to prove. He's already beat Vitali. Vitali had his shot, and got savaged by the better man.

I agree. Lennox should stay retired, he is in no shape to compete with the best anymore.

Well like most of you I hope it doesn't happen. The last thing we need is seeing Lennox with his brains scrambled.

I think he could do alright provided he stays away from certain styles, but he'd be fodder for either Klitschko right now and I'm not at all sure he could beat someone like Valuev.

    So really, what's the point?
