I don't think this will happen, imo,Lewis is just dicking the reporters around as Marciano used to do,he had lost his hunger for boxing when he met Vitali,he should stay retired he doesn't need the dough or the risk to his health.

Incidently I remember Lennox first talking about retiring after the Holyfield and Tua fights, so him retiring in 2003 was no shock when he'd been talking about it for 3-4 years. He only stuck around for Tyson

After Holyfield, Tyson was pretty much the only other guy he really wanted.
Not to say he didn't get up for other fights, but that was his focus.

Back around the end of '96, he was talking about only another 4 fights before retirement.
After he won the WBC belt back against McCall, he mentioned 2 more years with 5 more fights.

If he could've had Tyson in 2000, I don't think it's that wild to think he might've called it a day afterwards.

The last thing a fighter loses is there punch. Lewis could punch with the best of them. I mean Foreman KO'd Moorer at 46, he's a big puncher himself, Moorer was a skilled southpaw. Are any of the contenders around now on Moorer's level then?

I'm convinced if he got back into shape, and could last 8 rounds or so, he would knock out a fair few of the top 10/15 guys.

I messaged Lewis on my Myspace account and told him to keep away from making a comeback. It's way too risky. And he must look at the possiblity of losing after 5 years away from the game. Vitali winning against Peter after 4 years of inactiveness might wet his appetite for a return. I doubt it. He's made his money, cemented his legacy, and now has a family.

Lennox needs to stay retired and keep what brains he's got left so he can continue his good work providing the ringside commentary for the sport. I don't want to here him start sounding punchy and stuttery at the mic.

It's hard to know, much like it was with Vitali. Of course, like Vitali, Lewis presumably still has some of the tools that brought him to the top intact (height/reach, size, power), but Lewis has been away even longer than Vitali, he's a full 43 years old now, and I do think that his style was a little more dependent on pure athleticism than Vitali's, as well as being less durable (which makes it harder to compete without your old athleticism). If Lewis were to make a well-planned, serious comeback and challenge Valuev before either Klitschko gets to him, I could see Lewis grabbing a belt. If he challenges Wlad or has a rematch with Vitali, whether he took tune-ups or not, I would expect either Klitschko to win.

Funny thing about the K-brothers, is that even though I consider VK to be the tougher of the two, given that Lewis would be a slower version of himself, I think he'd have an easier time with the slower but tougher VK than with the faster but more prone to get hurt WK. I think WK's speed would cause Lewis trouble at his point.

A 'Lewis' comeback at age 43? Hell, No! I had best not hear of any bullcrap that L.L. is broke or something... I'm gettin' real tired of reading about multi-gazillionaires' going broke all of a sudden....

If lewis comes in shape, less than 260 atleast, he'll win a title.
