Not against Chris Byrd. Wladimir is much better than Vitali, and has beaten better fighters than Vitali has.

Peter is in the best shape since his last fight with Vlad, he dropped a lot of weight from the Vitali fight and looks to have a very competent corner. His strategy should be to hurt Vlad early and keep the pressure on him. Vlad and Manny are talking KO but he better be careful he does not get reckless or tire trying to force it.

I like Vlad to use the jab and look for openings. He may try something with a hook uppercut like he did vs Austin and Mercer. Vlad rocked Peter in the 11th of there last fight. Vlad may pick it up a bit but wisdom would tell him not to be reckless and to wait until the fruit is ripe for picking, he was down 3 times in the last fight from Peters back of the head-Rabbit crunch...

If Vlad sticks to the jab and counters and keeps Peter at jabs distance...Peter should be drunk and ripe by the 8th

That's a pretty high standard to hold him to. Peter has only ever been stopped once and that was a TKO against Vitali. I think as long as WK is winning rounds and fighting aggressively a stoppage at any point is a good result

It's a standard he holds himself to, claiming he the fight won't last past round 6. Peter has been beaten before, by Wladimir himself and his brother. If he wants to look good, he has to look better than anyone has before against Peter. Otherwise the fight serves no purpose really, as no one wanted to see this.
