@Classics. If Lennox Lewis never losted. Can he be considered top 3 ATG HW?

It was perfectly resonable to think that Lewis could have gone undefeated. If he did, could a case be made for him being Top 3 ATG HW?

Considering it's much harder to go undefeated as a HW and his resume is quite deep.

Many rate him number three (not me) already. But, honestly, it seems after the top two heavies (90+ percent agreed to be Ali and Louis in either order, from what I've seen) 3-15 becomes a bit of a free-for-all discussion.

As it is, I have him top 3 or 4.

I think H2H he's got a strong case to be top 3 as it is. Resume, not so high imo.

The shame of it is that both those losses were unnecessary if Lewis had prepared properly, especially the Rahman fight.

If he had never losted, then you could make an argument for No1.

I agree with janitor, especially because, had Lewis never lost that would mean the '94 Bowe fight wouldn't have been cancelled, & winning that maybe the publice demand would be so great for Lewis-Tyson in '95/'96, perhaps Dung King would've removed his greedy contract options & offered Lewis enough extra money to make it happen.

If he had never losted I'd probably slot him behind Ali who really cannot be touched with his record. Atm he sits on 5th place for me.

No because Lewis never beat an elite fighter in their prime. He cant be top three but top five. I have closer to 10. He struggled too much with boxers, the few mediocre ones he faced.

Top 3 anyway imo, argument for number 1 anyway. Louis and Ali lost more than 2 times

But they faced better fighters. I wouldnt rank Lewis over Evander Holyfield or Mike Tyson.
