@Classics. If Lennox Lewis never losted. Can he be considered top 3 ATG HW?

Lets take a closer look at Lewis. What was his best win? He had very difficult times with anyone who boxed the slightest. He was very good with flat footed guys who couldnt really move well but he was terrible against boxers.
Bruno was no great technician nor was Mercer or Mavrovic and they made him look a bit foolish. Even the over the hill Evander gave him a tough fight and then was schooled by the likes of John Ruiz and Chris Byrd.

Sure he could look great against guys like Briggs, Grant, Golota, Rahman, Morrison but those fighters never proved to be much of anything.

I cant see ranking Lewis high at all he just didnt have the diverse styles on his record and beat the biggest names he faced when they were pretty much finished, including Razor Ruddock.

Tyson, with a similar resume did it more dominately and more consistently than Lewis did. Holyfield beat better fighters flat out.

That's a reeeeally good point. History would have been rewritten for sure.

Lewis probably beats Bowe and possibly beats Tyson...

That would be a solid goddamn resume.

He didn't losted hardly any fights, so he's gooder than most. I say that because he winned almost all of them.

Depends on who is ranking him, some people now have him top 3 it's about what they value.

Louis fought worse opposition imo, Ali maybe better but not that much better. Lewis beat much bigger men too

Yet no one outboxed him to win a decision. Holyfield and Tyson are all time greats that came to win, and both put in 1 last hurrah, certainly Holyfield did. Lewis was slowed when he beat both

As for pure boxers, look at Akinwande, a very quick long tall outboxer and Lewis closed the gap and battered him. He was fat and slowed massively against Vitali and still closed the gap to stop his man

As for him beating past prime fighters, was Vitali past prime? Was Tua past prime? Was Rahman? Akinwande? Grant? Briggs? Morrison?

Lewis took on all comers for 10 years beating every man he faced, including the next Ring Champion, that's pretty legendary stuff

He had those two ko losses, but came back an avenged them in such dominating fashion that I don't let that knock him back too much. Hard to really knock Lennox even though i cannot stand him. I could see a top 4 but not really higher imo

Funny you can only come up with hugging Henry as an example of a pure boxer who clearly wasn't.
I don't even want to get into those other fighters they are so classless.
Vitali was his best win but he was being outboxed badly and had to turn it into a fight that Vitali wasn't capable of fighting. Great win but I believe Vitali is more flawed than Lewis.
Lewis didn't take on all comers either. He took on all comers who suited his style well.
