I think that fight was some kind of fundraiser for 9/11 too!! He also went onto murder his ex wife i think???? or her lover, something like that! http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/12039346/ It was Kellermans brother he murdered!!!!
There have been many fine examples here, and one that stands out to me in my memory of those mentioned is Tzyu-Hatton. Anyone who was there that night (as I was lucky enough to be) will never forget that tremendous atmosphere, especially in those final moments. However a couple I feel deserve a mention that haven't been mentioned yet: Danny McIntosh after Nathan Cleverly. The man was just pure class, not a single excuse, no alluding to anything, just honestly stated Clev was the better man and a league above him, with grace and sincerity, and respectful humour too. I really took to Danny that night and he made a big fan out of me. The other one is a bit of a topsy turvy one - Richie Woodhall after the Glenn Catley fight. Woodhall actually WON the decision, in a controversial result, but he had the class and good grace to admit immediately that he felt he didn't deserve to win and Catley was the rightful winner. True class. Woodhall and McIntosh will always have my great respect for the attitudes they have displayed.
maybe im wrong but i found mayweather to be really patronizing after hatton. the way he jumped up on the ring post in mock tears looking at the sky the way hatton did against tszyu i thought he was taking the ****. and all that 'the fans love you'.....but your ****, again maybe i took him wrong??
I've always been surprised at the way Maccarinelli behaved after a defeat. He's made excuses for both the Haye and Afolabi losses. I expected better from him to be honest.
Which was followed up by...'You're my hero now.' Oscar can't help but be cheesy! This ain't a Disney film, Oscar:blood.
tsyzu privatly stated after the fight that the shiot to the balls finished him as well. i thought eubank was dignified in defeat too.
