Calzaghe keeps braggin about beating two legends... two old legends at that, but ok we all agree.

It made more sence when Tarver said that about Jones, when Taylor so humble said it about Hopkins... now when I hear it from Calzaghe I can't help but feel like it dosent sound or seem right.

But could have Hopkins or Jones say the same thing about calzaghe if they had won the fights ?

If Jones had won the fight, I doubt many would be calling Joe a "legend"

cause they could say the same thing, joe isn't a young guy and thats one of the things that is stupid. It is not like joe is a young fighter beating up on two old guys he is an old guy beating up two other old guys.

bhop was close. being 42, that doesn't look so good for Joe. As for Jones.... He is shot to pieces. He should retire before his record gets tarnarished.

He does keep saying this, I must have heard it about 50 times now. Ultimately it's a load of crap - sadly the general public will probably believe it and think he's the greatest ever.

When Hopkins was 36 he was at his prime beating Trinidad.
When Jones was 35 he was at his prime, moving up to Heavyweight and beating John Ruiz.

Now Hopkins at 42 having lost 3 of the last 5 fights looses to Calzaghe who is 36

Then Jones at 39 having lost 3 of the last 6 fights looses to Calzaghe who is 36

Thats the reason Calzaghe dosen't get the credit he DOSEN'T deserve.

Jones can already say it. He beat two legends in or very close to their prime, Hops and Toney. He also had a win over Antonio Tarver when Tarver could very well have been at his very best, also a Heavyweight Championship belt in is collection. Calzaghe is a twat and makes him self sound ignorant by claiming beating 2 past their prime legends in Las Vegas and New York is some huge task.
