Hopkins is and was a legend. He is one of the greatest of all time, EASILY.

Calzaghe is great too. But he also had a VERY hard fight from Hopkins and I thought Hopkins nudged it.

Calzaghe is the greatest cherry picker, comes to US after his competitors are old and shot to proclaim beating legends.

Joe keeps saying this over and over cuz he doesnt believe it himself. A shot 40 yr old Jones, shot some 5 years ago and a 43 yr old Hopkins. Tarver and Taylor have claims to beating legends.

BewareofDawg you are a jackass. Your boy got destroyed, deal with it. All of the junk Roy talked he didn't back up. Everybody acts like Calzaghe is 26 years old, the guy is at the end of his career as well. In closing Roy got his ass handed to him.

Oh my god!!!! :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

So wait a second! Do you think Tommy Morrisons or Shannon Briggs victory over George Foreman is better then Muhammad Ali's???? Because going by your logic...George wasn't a "legend" yet when Muhammad beat him :deal

Honeslty dude I laughed at first but the sheer stupidity, ignorance and clear alterior motive to make Joe C look better then he is in your post is actually ****ing disturbing and annoying :patsch

I'm a Jackass for stating facts? Age is a number cockbreathe! A mentally handicapped person can look at the 2 fighters and know that Joe has slowed down and deteriorated very little from his prime, while Jones looks like a cheap imitation of himself in his prime. :deal

joe has moved away quite abit from his prime his power, speed and reflex's and motivation have all dropped by a fair amount just becuase they have not dropped as much as jones's have doesn't mean they aint dropepd a fair bit.

Calm down, take a breath, i just stated a simple fact.

Hopkins wasnt a legend at the time, in fact up until he beat Tito, Vigill Hill and Mike mcCallum were ahead of him when fans were discussing jones' best wins...

Im not discrediting Jones at all, just stating that a resume cannot be trully appreciated til long after the events...

If Nard or Roy beat Joe it would have more meaing just b/c Joe is for the most part considered still "PRIME"....not physically, although he is still very much in good shape from not having many wars, staying clean and healthy....just doing the right things...He is 37 which is not young in boxing standards but Bhops prime happened when he was 35 or so....Nard like JOE's prime came later than normal....but overall Joe is a better fighter today than any other time as a pro....A win over this version of JOE is hella impressive.

Joe's wins were impressive b/c it was two BIG Names who are legends in the sport, but most pundits know that beating this Roy or this Nard isn't a meaningful as beating the PRIME versions of these greats. Still very impressive anyway you look at it though. JOE deserves RESPECT!

Hopkins and Jones had already beaten 2 legends before they fought Calzaghe.

i guess that makes Tarver and Johnson legends too and they knocked him out therefore they are even bigger legends right?
