Will his legacy be in tatters if he gets schooled by Bivol again?

He is on the backside of his career and he is expected to lose so I don't believe another loss affects anything. That being said, in the unlikely event he were to win the rematch it would definitely give his legacy a big boost.

Exactly. We should not be penalising fighters for losing fights that they were expected to lose, so long as they put up a good fight. Rather, we should appreciate the fact that they are willing to take risks and tough assignments. The same goes for Wlad's legacy not being hurt by losing to AJ, GGG's not being hurt by losing to Canelo quite clearly in the 3rd fight, Khan/Brook's for going up and losing to Canelo/Golovkin (it may have impacted their careers and longevity though), etc.

Canelo could have milked 168 for ages, but chose to challenge himself against Bivol and if he is up for trying again that has my respect, even if I personally would prefer to see him against Beterbiev or Benavidez.

Not in tatters, we just know LHW is a bridge too far.

But taking a fight against someone he's an underdog in is something we should celebrate. He's the cash cow of boxing, underdog fights are rare for the cash cow.

I don't remember the last time Mayweather faced someone as an underdog for example.

His legacy is cemented as a great fighter. He has nothing left to prove.

Clenelo's biggest L will always be dry humping his 18 year old daughter on the dance floor.

Dude is legit grinding his crotch into hers.

I will never fault a fighter for moving up n getting out of their comfort zone. Common held belief he wouldn't do well at LHW so no surprises if it overall doesn't work. Already a legend and a big deal to Mexico. Kudos to him for making it this far.

Was Haglers legacy harmed for not moving up or down weights to try his luck in other divisions, not in my opinion it was not, he was king of his division.

So Canelos chemically enhanced trip to face Bivol and his resulting loss, gets a free pass from me in the legacy game.

What legacy ???? Add together his cowardly handing back the WBC belt because he was afraid to fight GGG. The way he twice robbed GGG when he was forced to fight him. The way he moved up in weight to avoid his real contenders & fight paper champions. One day he claims he's not a real 160 pound fighter next he's built like a miniature incredible hulk. I think we all know how lol
Canelo , like Floyd before him was made Vegas cash cow & made a manufactured champion. In Legacy canelo:pipiGGG
    & it aint even close

He will not fight Bivol again so it will never be known. He would I have lost again but I don’t see him ever taking the fight. He won’t even fight Benavidez.

It will just highlight that the guy isnt a light heavyweight. Should be pretty obvious to anyone that Canelo is not physically suited to the division the same way Loma is not physically suited for 147 or 140

Not much. If he wins, then he is among the best that ever did it. Ask yourself, if Pac had lost to Margarito. Would it have diminished his legacy?
