I did goin into the 1st fight. I expected GGG to win. Which he did. But got a bogus draw. 2nd fight I did not have any because I felt it is was gna be a more competitive fight (which it was) and closer on the cards (which it was).

Like I said in another thread I’ve come around on Canelo. The kid is got balls there’s no doubt about that. You can put Asterix beside many fighters wins but at least Canelo you’re left with good names beside them. Shenanigans aside several of his fights people thought they would not be one-sided, complete opposite from somebody like Floyd which you knew going in there was no hope for the other guy (with the (sHitty name)

There's reasons for that : the majority of fans expected GGG to win, by knockout. Many fans believed Canelo was scared to fight GGG, and when Canelo fought how he did in the first bout, backing away, they gave a lot of the close rounds to GGG for coming forward. I saw Canelo land more clean scoring shots in the first match, many of them were due to how he fought, he would retreat retreat retreat then time GGG coming in and land a shot. GGG couldn't hit him as he was slipping shots. So I just look at it as who landed the more clean scoring shots : it was Canelo in both matches.

It was back and forth. There were times where he was schooling GGG, there were also times where GGG would adjust and was able to land. He wasn't schooling GGG throughout, but in many of the rounds he was schooling him. (rounds 2 and 3 in the first match, when he went to the ropes in rounds 4 and 5, etc)

He hurt GGG badly in that rematch. GGG's facial damage doesn't lie. He landed bombs on G, G though has a hell of a chin and didn't buckle. Credit to him for taking those shots but it was a definite beating.

And that's my entire point : that there was an expectation amongst a lot of fans going into the first match that GGG was going to win. When you take that kind of bias into a match, expecting a guy to win, it's human nature for you to give the close rounds to the guy who you expect to win, especially when that fighter was fighting in a come-forward style and his opponent was in retreat for a good portion of the match.

You don't know what a beating is. Clenelo never hurt Golovkin. Canelo, despite coming forward all night, never once was able to get Golovkin against the ropes because Golovkin was ALWAYS in the exact position that he wanted to be in. Basically, he controlled Clenelo.

Golovkin got robbed in the first fight going forward, so he fought Clenelo on the back foot. And got robbed AGAIN.

But every bodies expectations were right the 1st fight. GGG won that fight despite the bogus draw. The whole fight community (other then the canelo heads) thought he won. Bias rounds or not Golovkin got hosed 1st time round. I score rounds very fairly with no bias wether I like the guy or not. That's why judges are ripped on because they are the bias ones. Especially toward Alvarez and that's jus my opinion. They had in their minds who they wanted to win before the bell. That's main reason why goin into the 2nd go round I had no expectations because the judges had a winner already no matter how well GGG did

No it wasn't lol. Everybody's expectation going into the first match was that GGG would knock out Canelo or hurt Canelo. Everybody was wrong : Canelo fought a very intelligent fight and managed to catch GGG at times and land the biggest most telling shots throughout the bout.

The only reason why you think GGG won their first encounter is because of the sheer volume of punches that GGG threw and that at times Canelo did not engage and forced GGG to chase him. Canelo slipped many of shots that GGG threw, as Canelo's movement made GGG press and reach on his punches, and even the ones G landed weren't as good as the shots Canelo landed on GGG. That is the reason why Canelo won the first match and proved everybody who predicted a big GGG win wrong. Also Canelo landed far more body shots and was the ring general. Canelo may not have backed GGG up to the ropes, but at times in their first match he did back G up, when he chose to engage. The HBO commmentators even mentioned it when it happened.

Punch stats from first fight 216 to 169 in FAVOR of GGG. And how bout Byrds shitty ass score card? 118-110???? How can you argue that card? Can you? Can anyone? Obviously punch stats mean jack in a Canelo fight. You proly are a Canelo fan and thats fine of you are, but if you line 10 people up and ask em who won without ever scoring a fight, I would bet a nice paycheck of mine that 9 outta 10 score that 1st fight for GGG

I’ve never known of anyone to do rehydration clause before Alvarez? I’m sure there’s been some. And Pac-odlh did not have a rehydration clause in case anyone want to claim that, been disproven multiple times and proven 0 times.

Im not sure if canelo is the first to successfully coarse fighters to sign a rehydration clause page on a contract.

But I got a pretty good idea where he may have picked that tactic up at least according to him.
Check out this excerpt from an article on his Mayweather fight,

Canelo said Mayweather tried to include a "rehydration clause" in the fight contract, where Canelo would be unable to weigh above a certain number on the day of the fight. Canelo, who rehydrates to more than 170-pounds on the day of the fight, rejected that clause.

"They came up with a second-day weigh-in. They wanted to do a second-day weigh-in and limit what I could weigh the second day, and I wouldn't agree to that. And then they tried to force me to stay quiet and to not mention it, and that's why we didn't say anything. And we haven't said anything until now," Canelo said.

now wisley Canelo did not agree to it or he likely would have been KO’ed by money may!

same goes for Jacobs who did sign the rehydration clause but again wisley just disregarded it & paid the fine.

KOvalev not so much & you saw him get sparked out!!

Here is another example of a fighter wanting rehydration clause for Márquez vs Cotto
Which does explain why we never got that fight.
    https://www.christianpost.com/trend...dration-clause-for-potential-cotto-fight.html

ultimatley it’s on the fighter to accept the terms in a contract or walk away staying true to themselves (although it is a slime ball term)

Byrd's card was a big reason for the outrage over the decision. The fact that it was a close decision, a draw, wasn't what caused the outrage, it was that card that had it so wide for Canelo. I didn't agree with that card, I had it about 8 rounds to 4 for Canelo, though she had it several rounds too wide in my estimation, at least she saw what happened and had the correct man winning.

The punch stats were in favor of GGG, he landed more shots but many of those shots were glancing shots while Canelo was slipping the punch. I'm sure you've seen plenty of punches where a guy is evading a punch, it may graze his body but he's negated the effectiveness of the punch. Also there were rounds where GGG landed significantly more punches, like in the middle rounds, but there were a good number rounds where the punches landed were very even. So it's a classic quality vs quantity. Generally in the first match, the shots that Canelo landed were cleaner and harder than the shots GGG landed. So GGG may have technically landed more, but they weren't as good. Canelo rocked GGG with bombs several times, those big single shots offset many of the shots that GGG landed.
