Denial is one of the early indicators of a post-prime boxer. He knows he can't improve to make up for being second best in a fight, so just pretend he wasn't second best...

Kinda hard to stay humble when you've gotten the red carpet A-Lister treatment from boxing before barely being old enough to buy beer in the states, let alone win a major title.

The system, the boxing establishment, the powers that be, the ginger mafia, Clenelo's judges, the fans etc.

that remains to be seen in the rematch. if i was handling canelo, i would be thinking i could win the rematch, so it wouldnt surprise me that my fighter believes that too. at these levels, fighters are able to solve puzzles. canelo is going to take what he saw in the 1st fight, and put together a plan to defeat that problem. its up to bivol to adjust to that plan, or impose an even more effective plan on canelo. at these levels, the better fighter finds the way.

Speaking of Wlad Klutchko, I just couldn't get behind a HW champ who was built like an adonis, looked like he was carved out of granite, jumping on his opponent & grabbing hold like he was on the Titanic scrambling for his life - pathetic.

A fighter that cannot accept a legitimate defeat and has always a "good reason" for a loss is no true fighter at all. If Bivol gave his all Canelo would've tasted the canvas.

Makes me like him even less as a person.

Wow right back at you, champ. Clenelo is the poster boy for corruption in the sport and no one fights on a more stacked deck than he does. The fans are just a part of that equation but you zeroed in on that and completely ignored the rest.

I remember watching a shot GGG beat his ass x 2 but, as per usual, his judges were there to bail him out.

I remember watching a shot 140lb Floyd school his ass but one of his judges still managed to score it a draw.

I remember watching Lara and Trout take him to slick school and.. yep.. you guessed it.. his judges robbed them blind.

I also remember watching Miguel Vazquez get robbed blind after paddling his ass too.

They even tried to rob Bivol after he toyed with him without having to move out of 2nd gear. Thankfully Bivol made it nigh on impossible for them to rob him but they would if they could've got away with it.

It's not in the Realm's of impossibility that Canelo cant rematch & defeat Bivol, granted its to be seen & he would have to fight a whole different way & succeed by reevaluating his game plan which would be a very hard task itself,

Even with Bivol, Canelo was allusive at times in the fight & Bivol didn't go all in knowing Canelo's hard counter punching power, but he did what was needed nothing more & nothing less & fought a great fight.

What I don't think Canelo really get's here is while Bivol executed a near-perfect gameplan - I fully believe he did in without really hitting his top gears - which does not bode well for Canelo's chances in any rematch.

Tbh, although this is maybe a bit harsh, I was raging at Bivol live in the fight, because I think he really could have went through the gears and forced the stoppage, and I was 100% convinced he'd get stiffed on the cards.

IMO if Bivol has a glaring flaw, it's that he seems to always fight within himself and rarely really hits top gear - likely to minimise risks of counters / hail mary

Do you understand what figuratively mean??? You are a Clenelo fangirl so you can just t gtfo?!!! He was 100% spot on Clenelo is a proven drug cheat, who also paid the judges, which is clear for a miles.
