Exactly my point man, no one is against unification, this is the fight to be made at 168.

One guy who's considered number 1, vs the only other belt holder left in the division.

Like you said, no one is against this.

It's the fight that needs to happen, and I hope it does.

understood. But if he's the guy that has the belt, he's who Canelo should fight. If it was any other guy nobody would blink. When Yildirim was signed as an opponent for Benavides was anyone unhappy with that fight? Charlo just had a unification bout against a decidedly not quite box office opponent, was it a bad fight? Boxing fans have become so weird in this last generation.....

dude Mayweather retired with the most champions beaten all time and Canelo has beaten more current champions than the top 5 at 60/68/75 combined… how about y’all put onus on other fighter to fight somebody good instead of waiting begging for paydays

No its not. The Canelo fight "everyone" wants is one of the triple Bs; Bivol or Beterbiev with Benevidez a distant 3rd.

    Caleb who?

No one has ever been against a 4 belt unification fight. Ever. Don't try to be the first.

I honestly don't care about the belts. I want the best fights. I have seen nothing from Plant that makes me think he'll last 5 rounds unless he gets a taste and goes into survival mode a la Callum Smith. Seriously. If Plant were to defeat Benevidez (in a title defense if you like), then I would want to see him fight Canelo. Or maybe Plant vs the bigger Charlo and that winner fights Benevidez and that winner fights the winner of Canelo vs Bivol and then THAT winner faces Beterbiev.

**** belts. They have about as much credibility as CNN.

This is exactly why we need full unifications more often

Plant walking round calling himself a world champion, well now we get to see if the claim has merit or not.

This is how boxing should be, all belt holders face each other until we have one champion in every division.

Nah. I'm not calling Plant a champion. I suspect I'm not alone. The belt creators have killed the golden goose. **** em'. Let em' find a job and work for a living.
