Not surprised based on what we've heard. Any cash cow like Canelo looking to become undisputed will get squeezed for as much cash as possible even if they believe they can win you literally go into negotiations having given them leverage over you. We've seen this with Joshua and now it's Canelo's turn.

But Canelo unlike AJ has alternatives, he doesn't need Plant, there's better fights out there for him.
