To me, this is the only fight that matters at Super Middleweight. Plant is a bum waiting to be exposed and I have no confidence in Saunders. Plus he's looked mediocre since David Lemieux. David Benevidez is a big ass dude, powerful, mean, and is just as fast as Clenelo, if not faster. His punching technique is beautiful and he's intent on hurting you with every shot he throws. He could very well be first to the punch more often than not against Clenelo. Assuming no short training camp, rehydration clause, or catchweight.
Benevidez is tough, but Canelo's punch placement and speed will be too much. He'll get caught with something big, being overly aggressive. But the fight should be a banger..
I totally agree with your assessment. This is the ONE fight I want to see. Clenelo has proven to me he is better than I initially thought but if he can stop or beat Benevidez then he is not a hype job. If Benevidez doesn't stop the ginger then he loses on points so it is a tough call on how to bet this fight. Personally, I think Benevidez is the better fighter and would outpoint or stop Clenelo but DB wouldn't get the decision, no matter what.
Benavidez only has a punchers chance. He's not as accurate, explosive, or smart as Canelo. Canelo is a master a neutralizing power punchers as we seen even as recent as Koavlev.
All things equal. No dehydration, no stacking of cards in his favour, no match fixing... Benavidez wins clearly
Which part of my post are you going to disagree with? Or are you just showing us your insecurities as you usually do?
BJS looks pretty trash and hittable at 168, most likely why Canelo will take the fight. That said if BJS does not take the paycheque and play sparring session with Canelo he should at least be able to somehwat befuddle Canelos flat footed brain with his relatively faster footwork
