Anybody know if there's any extant surviving footage to be found anywhere?

    Or of Cleroux, period?

So, do I understand you watched them live back in the day, or is this based on your readings? If the former could you describe Bob's style for me a bit?

Tragic if this was truly lost to time. Did they not yet have cameras in Quebec in the 60's? I mean, I'm no history major, but this is after the fur-trapping era and well into the technological age, yes?

I have hilights of all three and from the hilights cleroux whipped chuvalos ass. He actually had chuvalo backing away and trying to box for much of the footage I have of the first and third fights. Watching it you have to wonder what happened to cleroux as he seemed good. Although he was very eager to brawl and may have simply worn himself down before his time.

My take on him throughout the years was that he just couldn't get over the top and on to the short list of contenders. His two losses to Folley may have shaken his confidence to do just that. Perhaps one win over Zora might have been enough. I noticed in his record he had a competitive scrap with Mike DeJohn in Miami in 1962.
    I've always wondered about him.
