When this fight was first talked about 10 months ago or so I had no interest but now I would like to see it. Clev is very easy to hit and thats the 1 thing that Enzo does very well.
Enzo hasn't gone past 2 rounds at 175, he's basically beat two non live opponents and now qualifies to fight for Cleverly's paper title, this is what's wrong with the sport, Cleverly himself was just in an abysmal defence but as a paying customer I have to lump it because it fills Fwanks pockets,,,, bollocks, I shouldn't be happy and Im not.
I'd agree with you normally but I don't have too much problem with Cleverly/Enzo being made because at least there's something to it. A story, a rivalry, something to make it even slightly interesting. Cleverly/Karpency had absolutely nothing and that's why I hated it.
IMO clev is far to busy in the ring for enzo (2012 enzo) and wins a wide points decision. The only thing in enzos favour is that clev comes to fight and is prepared to take shots in order to try and look good. That aside Clev does seem to have a decent chin, so i dont see enzo KOing him
I see what your saying Roe, I would feel a lot better if I have had seen Enzo In a half decent fight at 175, all I know is he can still punch and that's it, he might gas after 3 rounds? or is chin is even worse now? There's too many unanswered questions for me too be comfortable with it imo?
That may well be the case but it's terrible logic. Cleverly has a better workrate than nearly every light heavyweight, doesn't mean he'd beat them all.
No that is true but at least put Enzo in a test of sorts, to gauge what he's got left, not just walk into a big fight and hope he can still mix it.
I agree with you, but my point was Enzo specific and how well a 2012 enzo would cope with the workrate of clev
I don't know how much Enzo actually has left, you can't tell much from him whooping down an over-weight Ciaran Healy
Healy is a tough guy but hes a middleweight with below average skills, he clearly just wanted a payday
