you should definitely watch this fight!

how can you have any kind of opinion on Williams if you won’t watch his fights?

    This is the prime Williams.

All the rounds are there. It’s a good action fight. Very hard fought. But Terrell, the cleverer fighter, landed a lot more blows overall. Controlled and contained Williams that bit more. But it was close.

You watch Terrell against Chuvalo and it’s the same kind of thing. Having both lost to Terrell Williams and Chuvalo were about neck and neck at this time. Good contenders. Terrrell was barely above them really.

Ali and Liston were better than either Williams or Terrell.

I have too many fights to watch right now but I'll get into it at some point.

I don't have an opinion, other than the AP disagreed with the judges.

Will post my card when I've seen it.

The rest of your post, just lol.

It was also in Terrell’s hometown, and he barely got an SD. Williams also wasn’t quite 100% for this bout suffering from (verified) bruised hands from his bout with Young Jack Johnson (who’d devastatingly go on to be murdered soon after this bout) 10 days before his fight with Terrell.

I believe Chok posted a thread about this topic (where he laughably gave 7 rounds to Terrell including the 10th where Terrell was exhausted, rocked, and holding on for dead life) and scorecards were split throughout the board.

Can’t tell you the exact figures but many scored it a draw or for Williams (including myself).

I score the fight 7-3 or 6-4 depending on how I score the last round. But each round was hard and competitive.

Round 10 Terrell ran but Williams didn’t land or was able to do Mitch either. Maybe I could give it to Williams? It is not unreasonable to select Williams that round because they landed a similar number of blows. Terrell ran. But in the scheme of it he neutralised and avoided Williams successfully whilst landing a similar number of scoring blows. On even rounds where equal scoring blows have landed a judge can decide the winner on which boxer does the most leading off or better boxing. In this situation Williams did the leading but Terrell all the boxing. Perhaps it could have been even. There was nothing clear about it.

For you, as Williams biggest fan, to only score the overall result as even kind of says everything we need to know.

There is nothing controversial about the official result at all.

    I'd take Patterson by KO.

Round 10 is literally not up for debate. Williams landed a huge right hand that hurt an exhausted Terrell who held on for dear life. and did nothing of note.

Literally not one other poster, scored it for Terrell.

I also didn't score the fight as even. I made it more than clear in my post I scored it for Williams.

"Their is nothing controversial about the official result at all."

Just so we're clear, their's nothing controversial about a fighter receiving an SD in his hometown, with the AP also scoring against him, as well as multiple others who scored the fight, and everyone else agreeing it was an extremely close fight, but Billy Daniels was arguably robbed against Williams (which you tried to make a case for previously). Did I get that right?

Coming right after Williams very best round (round 9) not enough happened in round 10 to make it that dominant for Williams. Terrell coasted. He prevented Williams from mounting an exchange. At a quieter part of the fight you could score a round like round 10 for Williams. I’m not sure you understand. I can score it for Williams… but there are more clear cut rounds to score for williams like round 3 or Round 5. It is open for debate unless you think it’s Williams best round which it was not. Terrell was winning the fight and was well on top in round 9. Coming after that, round 10 is still eclipsed by the margin for the winner of round 9. It simply is not Williams best round by a long chalk.
