Possible dangerous fight for either man
    Does it go the distance??
    Prime for both

Quarry outboxes him, too upright and predictable for him, he’d counter him all night long.
Lyle’s better than Williams in just about every way, can’t think of anything he’s worse than him at.

lol. Lyle was much slower than Williams, far
more predictable and not nearly as good a boxer. You’ll never see Williams laughably befuddled like Lyle was against Young twice.

Quarry is a fight Williams would be wise to steer clear of.

Quarry was the overall better fighter but Williams has the puncher’s chance. Take your pic

I'm going to go against the grain here and go for Williams. Quarry had virtually no defense to speak of, and unlike the other big punchers he faced in Foster, Shavers, and Lyle, Williams was a much better boxer.

I highly doubt Quarry replicates Williams win, and robbery loss to Terrell as well as his majority draw against Machen. In fact, know he wouldn't considering he already lost to a shot Machen.

More importantly than that, unlike the aforementioned punchers, Williams had a detrimental handspeed advantage over Quarry, which would greatly nullify Quarry's counterpunching tactics especially with a defense like that.

Obviously Quarry is the far more proven fighter though, with a much better resume so I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled it off. It's definitely not the walk in the park anyone here makes it out to be. Quarry's lost to worse fighters in his prime, including Chuvalo who needed hometown judging, and a crooked referee to get a draw and 1/4 point SD victory over Alex Miteff who in his next fight would go on to be wiped out by Williams in short order. If that fight never happened, people would swear Chuvalo was tailor made for Quarry.

I've seen Williams smacked away by Ali while Lyle gave Ali tough fight.
I also have seen Williams smacked by LHW and never seen Lyle KOed by LHW.

Yeah, one handed slugger with no defense and chin was better boxer in your book.

Williams best fights= draw with Machen, went 1-1 with Terrel and that's it.

Quarry best fights= Foster, Spencer, Lyle, Shavers etc.

Williams is tailor made for Quarry, who would destroy him.

Quarry had problem with good boxers but one handed slugger with weak chin is not going to beat Quarry...remember what Foster did to Williams and what Quarry did to Foster.
