So you're admitting there may have been fighters who were as good or better than Williams that you don't know about because film at the time was sparse? Finally they're learning.
IF YOU WANT ME TO TELL YOU IF A FIGHTER IS GOOD I NEED TO SEE THE FIGHTER FIGHT. Is that difficult to understand?
Reznic makes his vids based on OLD time guys...which is good .I have NO problem giving him advice even on training in the training section where 99% of the guys who tell you on here ...( you dont know what you are talking about ) wouldn't dare go in that section! They themselves have no clue. Rez problem is he has to stick to his group on here that subscribe to not exactly true beliefs, when we deal with modern times. They make up and fluctuate what they want.....to bad bc they are robbiing themselves of being smart and dumb themselves down ,,,,lol You always dissect fights by watching them ....age plays NO role in this and COMMON sense ( which is not abundent here) is used more than what year you were born! im pretty sure this site is reletively weak based on who they ban and when someone persues a topic? im not sure? If idiots were placed first in a banning selection .....well doesnt that speak volumes????? Of course the smart ppl will get booted but i guess it means you are doing something right besides ..the obvious morons who should be booted! of course no credible boxing web site boots ppl for not being able to answer topics right?
They didn't have the coverage that fighters got decades later. You know, when film and digital technology was growing at an exponential rate. The point is, you completely discount the lack of depth in the fight game at those times. There's guys you clearly never heard of that would've been memorable figures if we had a little footage of them. Joe Louis's management avoided Gastanaga because he had a cracking punch. You know who that is? Probably not. For you, the 30's consists of Carnera Oaf, Louis Old School, Schmeling decently skilled German, drunk Baer and Galento, and basic head moving Sharkey. Which is why you think any Cracker Jack with something decent to show in ring would take them all, not realizing there was serious depth in the rosters those days as well. We have to deal with three of you every year? How will we ever move onto the meaningful stuff?
I make videos on modern fighters as well. I am probably one of the posters with the least amount of sentimental attachment towards boxing history. I've trained in a modern gym, I still do on and off. You know, where people seriously look up to the greats of the past, and don't have half the modernist BS perspective people here do. I don't diss modern fighters. I'm a realist. And y'all been ****ing up the analyses on these past fighters for too long. You guys have no grounding in common sense. You have the inability to balance time, with testimonials, with documentation, etc. If boxing advanced the way you think it has, a Ray Arcel at one point would've been like "Guys! It's clearly evolved!" Which they haven't. Even Manny Stewart thinks Ali was the best H2H. Ali thinks Marciano was a scary matchup. Etc etc.
Williams got KOed in 3 rounds by Bob Satterfield. About as quick as Liston did. Satterfield was 177 pounds. Williams had a 25+ pound advantage. Williams weakness wasn't big guys....it was big hitters.
Wiliams was 20 years old .Satterfield had the power to drop anyone he hit flush,a few months earlier he had kod Bob Baker 214lbs.
I can see Williams showing heart and making his best effort. Might even tag Louis with some meaningful shots. But in the end I would favor Louis to stop him.
Louis, it would be faster and more painful than Liston fight. Williams would eat many uppercuts followed by lefts and rights.
