Coetzee generally lost when stepping up in class, losing to Weaver and Tate, does Frazier lose to these guys?

Those fights, the championship reign after Manila, outside of Dunn, Ali was getting by on his name. As I said before he could no longer win decisively…but he wasn’t losing either. And the not losing is key. Even then!Good fighters could not make him lose. It was close but no cigar. Good fighters! But Leon did. He beat that Ali.

How about Dokes? Did Coetzee lose to Dokes? Or Thomas?

Absolute nonsense. All of his fights side from perhaps some in the very beginning of his career were against "real fighters". Some may not have been very good but they were absolutely real fighters. He fought approximately four fighters who's only fights were against Williams himself, so about 90 people he fought were by definition "real fighters".

However I'm glad that you've abandoned your laughable stance that Williams only had 4 good wins in his entire career.

Yup The Ring and WBA which both had Williams ranked as number 2, should've taken notes from Boilermaker. Absolutely atrocious list. According to him, Machen the number 2 ranked heavy in '62 should've actually been #14. Real credible.
I'm not sure who's rankings you're referring to for Spinks being the tenth best fighter of the 70s. Boilermaker didn't mention any decade rankings as far as I can see.

Spinks has zero claim to being anywhere near the top ten in the 70s. Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Norton, Young, Quarry, Lyle, Shavers, Tate, Bugner, and Coetzee are all far ahead of Spinks in that matter.

It’s beside the point entirely how Spinks performed. The powers that be were not going to give a decision against Ali to a 7-0-1 fighter. They would not give it to Norton or Young. There’s not a chance in the known universe that fight was on the level for mine.

This is amusing at this point. After bashing Williams record for the lack of good fighters, you bring up this non-sense. What were Lopez's and Evangelista's ratings when Spinks fought them?

Again green fighter with over 35 fights?
    I didn't expected anything dumber.

He still claims Williams was green for Satterfield, but when you look at his record before Williams fight it was 35+ pro fights.

Anyone who calls fighter with 35 plus fights a green fighter should be never considered as someone who knows boxing and is rather emotional than real.

On one hand you have a guy who won the Olympic gold and beat Muhammad Ali for the undisputed World title after 7 fights…on the other hand a guy who still green after being fed nothing but stiffs for 30 or so times before losing to a 7-3 novice then getting his block completely knocked off at 34-1 from a much smaller veteran who had lost 2 of his last 3 fights.

    This stuff is hysterical!

Stands up better than anything Cleveland achieved. The guy messed up at 30-0 against a no name 7-3 jobber. A light heavyweight nearly killed him 5 fights later.

What Leon Spinks brought to that first Ali fight was something Muhammad no longer had. Not skill. Energy.
