I like the Big Cat to Pounce on Hercules quick, the Cleve who put on a great two rounds effort against Soinny Liston...before the roof fell in on him, would i think be favoured to complete his mission against the slow out of the blocks Weaver, Mike did have a Habit of starting cold, and it might resemble when Bonecrusher Jumped on Mike, Joey Curtis not Required here i think...Its an early minefield for Mike...and i think rather detrimental detonates aganist his jaw early, Cleve was excellant for those two and half rounds against Sonny, transplant Weaver into the other corner...and he is more Laid Bare than Big Bear ! Cleve and quick..for me ( The Style of the quick starter who can punch will always spell danger to Mike.)
A prior to 1965 Cleveland Williams beats Weaver, the 'Big Cat' would pounce and destroy a slow starting Weaver from opening bell.
Williams early or Weaver late. If Williams can catch Weaver early, before Weaver launches his own offence. Neither had the best of chins, so I'm guessing Weaver does not survive the fast start Williams had. If he defies the odds and does survive, he likely breaks Williams down and stops him.
If Cleveland could get him early go at him like he did Sonny in the first fight he would win by KO, his speed and power early on would be too much, but if he couldn't get him Weaver would get a KO late, i really see Williams getting him early though
The Weaver post Holmes would stop Big Cat before 4 rounds, Mike was not always a quick starter but he warmed up well. Weaver by KO 3rd rd
Williams by KO1.. Weaver was a terribly slow starter and Williams was one of the hardest punchers who ever lived. Williams would have walked right through Weaver.
One thing for sure it would be an exciting fight with no holding back from either quarter. Both were explosive and exciting. Weaver just had that extra quality at the higher level.
