I don't know if people have seen this but I have only just seen it now. Check it out from 9 minutes. Cleverley reckons it is impossible for Tony to beat him and his best chance would have been when he was at university 'taking it easy'. Tony says he will put him unconscious. Cleverley reckons he will give Tony a free shot and will just 'shake it off'. Please make this fight happen soon Frank.

    It's all just bravado.

And Nutjob come on, Murat a bigger puncher than Bellew?

Murat really can't punch that hard, at least not at light heavyweight. And he did land some good shots on Cleverly, but he didn't really put a dent in him TBH (Joey Vegas wobbled Clev though! ;))

The one thing you shouldn't doubt about Bellew is his power. When you're knocking people completely out in the amateurs, you tend to be a big puncher :yep

Do I think Bellew could stop Murat? Yes I think he could. Although Murat has his arms up in the style of Abraham, Bellew won't have to go looking for him - like against Ajisafe and McKenzie - and he'd get plenty of opportunities to land his punches. But the match-up is a good one and one I'd like to see.

Murat got a decent lefthook, guard and chin thats all about him. short arms short legs featherfisted no footwork no skills. At LHW he has no business at all he should move down two divisions. Clev just beat him down but never had him in real trouble. Campillo schooled Murat as well but got disgracefully robbed.

the orville stoppage was a disgrace, he was on his feet ready to go again!

Cleverly should fight orville if he wants to make the step up

Bellew need to chase for this asap in my mind.

I reckon his best chance is to fight Clev when he is still with his old man, at some point he is going to be forced to switch trainer.

Bellew, nice fela, but wont get anywhere.

    He is world 17, why?

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=425328&cat=boxer

    Last 3 fights:
Mckenzie world no 58, he was down twice.
Aijsafe, worl number 79, he struggled to beat someone with 8 fights
He did, however slughter Moore in 1 rd, world number ?, who had only 4 fights.

Go back through his record and he has beaten noone. Ovil Mckenzie was his best victory and he was down twice in it.

Murat is not a puncher in any way shape or form. Just because he plods around the ring like Abraham and Huck does not mean he has big power. His power was largely unproven coming into this fight, he's stopped some average opponents and also been the distance with average opponents. He also landed some flush punches on Cleverly and achieved nothing when he did.

Boxrec is based off a computer calculation. All the rankings are based off a formula and the formula does not include 'he struggled' or 'he was knocked down'.

Better yet, don't even refer to Boxrec rankings because they are a waste of time.

Well let's just say if Clev gives him that free shot, he would have his jawline wrecked he be looking like Desperate Dan and be on canvas lights out.

I remember watching this and was shocked that Enzo Calzaghe had bigged up this Cleverly kid and he was being twatted around the ring by Joey Vegas. Cleverly was lucky to win that fight.

But I'm increasingly thinking that Cleverly's body has just turned/is turning into a fully fledged adult. You've only got to look at Amir Khan recently to see the effects of filling out a bit and going up in weight. If I'm not mistaken, Cleverly was fighting down at Super Middle then.

Since then, he's taken a few flush some decent-ish punchers at Light Heavy and hasn't looked bothered and actually seems like he enjoys a bit of a tear up.

I don't think a fight with Cleverly would be a good thing for Bellew at this point in his career. Would set him back quite a bit - he needs a bit of Frank Warren feeding of light punching eastern-eurobums for a few fights.

Okay, has Bellew fought anyone decent yet or indicative that he might go far?

Beating Ovil could well be the highlight of his career.
