Most of the talk post-fight has been about Bellew's performance and not many have given Cleverly his due. I am a massive Bellew fan and was 100% confident he was going to beat Cleverly. I have never been too keen on Clev if I am honest. Thought he was overrated and had a crap chin for some reason. He proved me wrong last night and I would like to give respect where it is due.

It was a win/win fight. Cleverly had a tough fight, and showed the grit of a champion to get the job done.

I was one of those who figured Bellow to give it a go early, but be stopped fairly easily inside ten. But Bellow showed he was at least a class above anything I thought he was.

Kudos to both, and thanks for the excellent fight.

Before the first Bellew-McKenzie fight most had clev-bellew even, since then based on not a lot the pendulum swung massivley in clevs favour, in reality it was always going to be close.

Good fight though, really enjoyed it and they both showed a lot of class too

    Cleverly was disappointing.

Massive props to Bellew, though. He fought his heart out.

I dunno, I was somewhat dissappointed tbh. Dont get me wrong, he took some bombs that i didnt no he could take. And his high output into the later rounds was also impressive. But he probably lost 3 of the first 4 with Bellew outjabbing him. Maybe I was underestimating Bellew's boxing skills, but his jab was much more accurate, had more power, and was much more effective than Clevs. His head-to-head infighting was pretty good, but overall I was a tad disappointed. But i think that may be down to Bellew rather than Clev himself

He showed he was tough and gritty but no i won't give him to much dues because lets face it himself and many on here were totally dismissive of Bellew. The way he and his fanboys spoke i was expecting a schooling and stoppage and Tony to look out of his depth but it was actually Bellew who showed the better boxing in the fight IMO.

I'm glad i never jumped on the bandwagon when Bellew got dropped by McKenzie.

I'm not a massive fan of Clev and probs never will be but i don't dislike him like i dislike say Groves  who really is smug IMO. Clev proved his a solid champion.
