I like Clev a lot but he will get wiped off the map by Froch.

 

err he has a belt, so you would think someone would want to fight on of the weakest champs in the sport..

 

I think Cleverly is not a boxer at heart, but just a guy who happens to be good at boxing. I dont think he is 100% committed to it and doesnt mind taking paydays like these, so Im sure there will be more after this one. Theres no harm in that really, his life so up to him. People keep paying to see it

 

If Fwank cannot get Cleverly meaningful fights, maybe it's time for Nathan to find a promoter who can.

 

I don't agree. He showed heart by going into bellews backyard. Just because he has education behind him doesn't mean he is focused during his time as a boxer. He is a nice kid and I think he wants to challenge himself. I think his promoter is the problem

 

He's got a legally binding contract. It's not like he can leave tomorrow. Doesn't work like that.

Cleverly is not a stupid man, he is very intelligent so he must be taking the **** with those comments or he has a credibility threatening case of the "Khans".

 

I kinda see what Deels is saying.

It's not so long back that people had Clev down as a good domestic prospect at best, so he's not done too badly to get where he has.

Some of the things he says give you the 'not a true fighter at heart' idea, such as talks of retirement at a very young age, and so on, plus some pretty **** opponents these days.

It's when people class him as a boxer that they're getting confused. The lad is a balls to the wall fighter, I was laughed off the board for daring to suggest that Bellew could out-box him, yet he did relatively easily.

It was only Clev's engine and will to win they stopped if from being a straight forward 118-110 x3 kinda decision.

The disparity in skill level was evident.

He just needs a proper boxing trainer who understands the sport and how to make adjustments etc. The only thing Vince understands is how do your best to get your son assaulted.

 

He'll get the fights he wants if he signs with hearn

 

Clev doesn't want the Bellew fight, he knows he got LUCKY there.

And he must be dreaming if he think he is near froch in terms of levels. Froch must have pissed himself laughing. Clev needs a live opponent. Not the hand picked guys with good paper records. No one's a bum, but you can be ****, and Karpency, and whoever he is fighting next both fall into that category.

By the way, why should froch, p4p the best uk fighter, give up any advantage to clev by moving to 175. Frank knows what he's doing there. Call out a name, knowing he won't get it, but at least they can say "froch didn't want it" We're not all that ****ing stupid frank

 

This kinda feels a little like Froch calling out JC at he end of JC's career.

How about Kessler vs Cleverly first, that's a ggod fight for Cleverly and if Nath beats Kessler people will scream for Froch vs Cleverly and if Nath losses well Kessler v Froch 2....

 

You're talking about the man that has put on the biggest fight in Britain this year.

Even Eddie "wank material" Hearn can't top that.

Come on Bill, Clev will get the fights eventually although admittedly its frustrating at the minute.

 

You make a valid point, even though Frank didn't have to do a lot of promoting, the fight was made as soon as punch up happened.

Eddie pulled a masterstroke in getting Bute over here for Froch to smash up, maybe not as big as Haye/Chisora but it's up there and his cards on a whole has been a lot better.

As soon as Cleverly fights somebody with a pulse, the mocking will stop, until that day he will be ridiculed with furious intent, he calls himself ''world champion'' and continues to fight tomato cans, I find it insulting and a mockery.

And he wears a hair band, that just ****ing tops it off for me.

 

And he likes basshunter. Dont forgrt that.
