Are Genius' really that 'regular' though

This has confirmed my suspicions too with regards to his boxing too. If he'd have gotten a 'first' then I would have been impressed but I think we all know that he's not gonna be an accountant or anything so I doubt very much he'd have let his Maths degree get in the way of his Boxing.

He'll be lucky to make it as a primary school math teacher if he keeps taking punches like he did against Brancalion.

Wait till Bellew/Clev mate. He's getting banjoed :deal

Fair play to him on his degree mind, I don't have one however I am a street fighter and there's not much use for them in the hood, but he's done alright for himself . I get the feeling though that after getting a 2-2 he's probably wishing Sky hadn't of hyped him and his studying up to the degree they did.

    :rofl:rofl:rofl

    You're a comedian mate :yep

A 2-2 in maths is better than a 2-1 in some subjects..... it's a degree that might help him.

Too many people can go to uni, get a first and end up on the cigs counter at Morrisons.

Why do you think Bellew gets stopped agaisnt Clev. Not being a critic just genuinley never heard a logical reason for it. I see it as 60-40 to Clev if it happens in the next year, I rate both highly.

Yeah i know i'm not knocking him for it, like I said I dont have one. I just would have expected a better grade the way it was talked about and considering where he studied. Either way fair play to him. I think we all know he wont be using it though

Sorry Rob, I don't think Bellew is getting beat here, I mean I see Clev getting banjoed :good

A 2:2 in Maths is better than a 1st in 70% of subjects nowadays, I despair when some people tell me what degree their doing....Fair play to him, with the bit of Uni Maths I need to do in my subject I know how hard it is.

Hopefully Sky can shut the **** up about it now.

hey dont knock a 2:2, I got one in Mechanical Engineering, just short of a 2:1..

Its all about the degree you take, a first class honours in something like arts or business is worth **** all in reality on its own, whereas a 2:2 in a technical subject has much more potential for immediate employment.

Having said that, its been 2 weeks and i'm still unemployed

2:2 in maths is decent, not genius worthy, but will still get you a good job in the city.

People with business degrees are the last people that should run businesses.

    No worries.

I've seen him train several times so I know the skill he posseses. Him and Farnell work the angles really well on the pads, and whilst he hasn't really had the chance to show it in the ring come fight night (With his fights ending somewhat prematurely) he really does have great movement and far better skill than he's acredited for. I can understand people thinking he's purely a 'banger' due to the fact that thats all he's really shown but when the time comes i'm hoping he'll get the recognition he deserves.

The power is a given. I dont think anybody can dispute his power. He was a Heavy in the AMs and flattened people. He flattened Sexton too, and i'm I remember correctly in the final of one his 3 ABA wins he left the opposing finalist unconscious for several minutes (Although it may not have been in the final). I've seen him sparring too against the likes of Dunstan and that Garcia (Bellew definitely got the better of him too in what was a very good spar) and thats where its easier to see his skill. From what i've heard everyone who has worked with him has said he has the tools and temprement to go all the way. Nelson speaks higher of Bellew on here than he does of any other British boxer (Apart from his own I may add:)) having worked with him. Adam Booth spoke very very highly of him too.

I'm not taking anything away from Cleverly here by any means. Offensively I think he's very good at times. However I think he's been overating his own power slightly and the obvious problem for him is that his defence at times has seemed very 'leaky'. Cleverly likes to get into a battle too, and the last person he wants to be doing this with is Bellew :good I genuinely can't see Cleverly out-boxing Bomber and if it goes toe-to-toe I can honestly say hand on heart I think Cleverly will get punished. Like Bellew has stated before, we have never really seen Clev fighting on the back foot and there's no way on earth he's gonna have the strength to push Bellew back.

I know it's all comparative, with me having seen a lot of Bellew in the gym, however I'm only saying that it annoys me sometimes when Bellew doesn't get the credit he deserves for his skills when it's hardly his fault that his fights have ended early. I know full well the fights Bellew/Warren have tried for and I know full well the purses offered and the excuses returned.

Regardless of my opinion mind, what I will say is this. Whilst it lasts i think it will be a barnstormer.

    Hope that helps mate :good
