Clevs jab will be like trying to fend off an eagles talons with a flyswatter. He gets good extension and speed, but it just ain't hurtful enough to keep off a determined attacker. His best defense will be his mobility.
And by our guys do you mean Floyd and Andre, the two top P4Pers in the sport? Or American MMA star Chris Weidman that just fought the top guy in the sport and knocked him the **** out?? :deal You guys jock rock Froch so much because all your other fighters suck.
Done already. She's got a mate in South Wales with a big house an' I spent a week or so suggesting that that was just what we needed for a holiday - y'know, the recession, save some money an' that.
if Clev can avoid getting put to sleep by Kovalev in the first 5-6 rounds, he will take the Russian to unfamiliar territory, and we will see if Kovalev is the real deal
This is certainly true. I've no reason to doubt Kovalevs ability to go the distance, but especially with the pace he sets it is an unproven.
SICK fight. Haven't seen much of either guy...but i have seen enough to know that they are both real fighters man. Can't wait.
Im gonna tell you haters this right now. Cleverly is gonna schoool Kovalev. Cleverly is like Calzaghe and Kovalev is like Jeff Lacy and that whats gonna happen
You don't get that impression hearing him speak. Hell Froch sounds sharper. Didn't he get barely passing grades?
Ain't a hater Terry, said it before, I'd love it if Clev showed the ability to take this, but from what I've seen of them both it's gonna be Kovalev. Clev ain't Joe and Kov ain't Lacy - he can really box, the main criticism is that Kov seems, if anything, too reckless. A big hitter might make him pay for that but Clevs best chance is to hope Kov gasses later on. And Clev better think twice before getting in a brawl like he sometimes does. I know we all see fights if different ways, but just watch 'em both fight. Watch some of their opponents' fights. To be fair, Clevs unbeaten, but he's made hard work of it, against guys no better that those who Kovalev's destroyed. TBH, I do see Clevs speed and style giving Kovalev some early problems, but Clev will get caught, he's never been unhittable. And when Kovalev hits people, he hurts them. White and Campillo had watched Kovalev too, and had a plan which lasted about as long as it took for Kovs combos to start landing. Believe me, I'm hoping for a long, action packed fight in Cardiff, but that ain't what I'm expecting.
Cleverly will beat Kov, mark my words. I think this has Calzaghe vs Lacy written all over it. People think Kov is a destroyer just like Lacy, put he will be severely exposed.
I think there's a chance, but unlike that fight, Cleverly is just as unproven as Kovalev and has probably faced lesser comp. Kovalev is also less or a plodder than Lacy, or most LHWs. His main question mark is stamina, in other respects he matches up nicely with Cleverly: decent hand and foot speed, throws a lot of combos, doesnt shell up, plus the added power.
i think he got a 2.2.His degree was pure mathmatics which is obviously a hard degree and he's stated in interviews that he didnt put as much time into study as he would of liked because of the boxing and travelling etc.Froch is also very smart.
