Any thoughts? Surely there is something else behind it? Why leave just because of a court case. I think he is unhappy with how he is progressing or Frank has made him a great offer to leave the stable to spite Joe. Probably promised him a WBO title... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/7598818.stm
I think we will see a similar situation to when Billy Graham and Frank had their big falling out. Some will stay with the trainer, others will confirm their allegiance with the promoter. Generally the better fighters will stay with the trainer, whilst the inferior ones will be satisfied with a slot on a few decent undercards and tickets to shows.
yeh i bet Joe will try and snap up a few of the guys for his own stable. tbh haye is the only fighter i see making it as a promoter. hatton has been talking for years about being one, and has only put on 1 crappy show yesterday, with no tv. Haye has alreayd signed a tv deal and 13 figthers, inlcusing british champs.
You have to wonder what will happen to the Calzaghe stable of fighters once Joe retires. It'll remain to be seen whether the success they have achieved was a result of Frank's matchmaking or Enzo's training/getting them in shape. I'm not convinced on Enzo's abilities strategy wise but I think he is great for getting them fit and motivated. Plus the boost of working with Joe probably helsp spur the fighters one some. Wait and see I guess. I've noticed many on here don't like Enzo and think he talks a lot of crap. But that is one of the reasons I like him. He is like a manic cartoon character, sort of like the 3rd Super Mario Brother. Come to think of it, there is a startling resemblance between Enzo Calzaghe and Luigi...

Something was obviously affecting Cleverly in the build-up to what is his toughest fight to date. Wonder if the same issue is affecting Joe's training.
