he's very good but he doe's a lot wrong in the ring imo. he's 6"2 but he loses that advantage because he ducks low down. he doesn't use the jab properly. he just flings it out instead of throwing a stiff jab off the back foot. he doesn't use faints enough therefore becomes predictable and he isnt siting down on his punches enough. he's very talented but imo he will get beat if he doesn't straiten out the problems. he looked lost in his last fight.
I think when he steps up in class he will need to make the most of his attributes as he will not be able to out gun everybody. he definately let his head drop in his last fight, problem with his temprement maybe? I've seen him have one off night so far, so not bad... I can see him winning a legit title.
would like to see him dump his auld man and get a proper trainer. wasn't impressed with his auld man's talk in the corner in the Murat fight. a wee trip to the States would do wonders for him.

I think he needs to work on a **** load if he is going to be World Champ. Having no plan B would be a start. A jab. A maths degree...oh wait.
Having your dad as your trainer really only works with the top naturally gifted guys RJJ Moseley Calzaghe in these situations their dad is almost a cheerleader that motivates and keeps them fit and their sons natural athletic ability did the rest. Cleverly hasnt got that he is obviously gifted but he hasnt got a unique style he needs to be taught get a top class trainer in and he will tighten up his game
He definitely needs a new trainer ASAP. Pretty selfish of his Dad to think otherwise. Did his Dad run an amateur gym or did he just take up traning to train his son as a PRO?
Yeah he was pretty poor in his last fight and in his fight with murat, he was boxing well but wanted to go into a war to much,the knockout was going to happen but clev wasnt picking his shots at times and throwing 2 many nothing punches and getting hit way 2 much but hats off still done the job but could of had an easy night.I do think he needs to get a good trainer thou, but who in england? Dont think frank will be in a rush to send any of top stars out stateside after khan/roach.
