    Gilfoid at his best

Anyway, enough of the Cleverly vs. Hopkins-Dawson fantasy talk. What I want to know is WHO will Cleverly be fighting on April 28th? In his last two fights, we’ve seen Cleverly beat #13 WBO contender Tony Bellew by a controversial 12 round decision and then last weekend, Cleverly beat #11 WBO Tommy Karpency. Okay, so we’ve got a #13 and #11 contenders back to back, so I would assume that Cleverly will have to fight his #1 contender for his April 28th fight, I hope. The #1 WBO contender is Dmitry Sukhotsky, a good fighter with an excellent right hand. He’s a huge improvement over the guys Cleverly’s been facing and that includes Bellew. I guess I’m not surprised why Cleverly hasn’t defended his title against this guy because he’s deadly with his right hand isn’t some kind of fodder opponent that Cleverly can easily beat. I so, so surprised if Cleverly faces Sukhotsky next. My guess is Cleverly’s next opponent will be dug up from the near bottom of the WBO like the last two.

His next opponent probably won't even be in the top 15 yet, they'll move his ranking up...

I won't be surprised at all when that happens.
And I'm quite sure it won't be Sucklotsky, because that guy will almost certainly beat Cleverly.

It really should be Sukhotsky next, good that he's staying active but Fwank needs to get a good opponent. Forget Hopkins and Dawson, that won't happen. Campillo or Shumenov would be good.

Got a weird feeling it will be Allan Green.

Just fight Enzo for ur belt u massive fanny.

  12. Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me.

Green has a bit of name value, he's nothing special so he might fit the bill.

Green is also perfect in the sense that he's a capable boxer that now lacks a bit of power in his punches (despite his early career promise and highlight reel knockout of Jaidon Codrington)

I think it would be a reasonably entertaining fight, I can't see Clev knocking him out, but instead taking a close but well deserved decision.

As for people saying it will be Ovil, that just won't happen. There's no sellable value to that, Ovil is a decent British operator but for him to win one fight and then get a chance to fight for a world title seems worse than the Karpency farce.

The light heavyweight division seems a little strange at the moment, after Tavoris Cloud's disappointing showing on the weekend there doesn't seem to be a fighter that is taking it by storm.

The big fight is obviously Dawson VS Hopkins, but we all know that Clev won't be facing anyone in that class for another year.

Allegedly loves doing this. Book a date and venue, begin negotiations which inevitably will not have enough time to meet the date already booked. This happened last time and we got Karpency.

Bellew II, Cloud, Shumeov, Campillo, Dawson, Pascal and Hopkins are really the only acceptable fights.

No chance of any of them.

But there are still many decent fights that can be made. Allan Green would be decent. Sukhostsky would be a good fight to make. Sillakh another good fight. Even someone like Yusaf Mack who at least has something.

Not that Fwank, Boxnation, Steve Bunce or Cleverly himself will care what I think but if it's another no name like the last one they can **** right off and I'll show no interest at all. I might even do a personal boycott and not even mention it once. It has to be something, anything that makes it interesting. Even Ovill McKenzie would be half decent. Anyone like that is fine.

    Adios.
