I totally agree, how on earth does he get a crack at a world title when he got steam rollered by Kov and then lost a wide snoozefest against Bellew.
If this was to happen, a lot of it comes down to how Clev's copes with cutting weight... it's not like he's cutting fat eithers he's cutting muscle, 25 pounds of it ! (see Roy Jones Jr v Ruiz... then going back down to face Tarver back to back). If he comes back down and is equally as good as he previously was at LHW, I'd back him to beat Braehmer.
Braehmer vs Krasniqi has been confirmed for 21st Match. So it seems that Cleverly has to wait if he wants a shot at Braehmer's title.
Assuming Krasniqi doesn't pull off an upset. Perhaps a rematch for Krasniqi with Cleverly might have a different result in Germany?
well clev cant hurt braehmer, but he certainly has more skill than the jurgmen thug, who is a basic bruiser at best.
That was never "confirmed", ya numpty. :yep Cleverly is returning to LHW on that date, and Brähmer defends against Krasniqi a fortnight before. If both win, they meet later in the year. That was always the plan.
clev needs to think long and hard about which path to take the level of o0osition as now stepped up and he is struggling with the level of boxing involved imo
His best hope, if he wins in March and is locked into a WBA title challenge thereafter, is that Krasniqi puts on the fight of his life and gets overlooked enough to out-hustle a lazy, disinterested Brähmer and snatch the belt. Krasniqi, he can beat. Brähmer, he can't.
As it's not a real title so deserving a fight with brahmer is not the point. As a match its pretty good. Brahmer beats him on points.
