Truly. Nathan's carved out a nice little niche in outspeeding and volume punching PTS victories at home against guys who can't bang. Clevs pat-a-cake jabs ain't keeping Kov. honest and Kovalev won't be leaving things to the judges.

Cleverly would get spanked so it ain't happening.

Cleverly is bringing a water pistol to a gun fight. He can't hurt Kovalev, so he can't beat him coming forward, he doesn't fight off the back foot either. Silly fight for him to take.

 

Cleverly doesn't duck anybody.

Kovlaev is a harder fight than Froch.

 

Fair play to him for taking this fight. I've been very critical like everyone but this shows his desire, Kovalev's high risk, very low reward and couldn't have chose his usual type of opponent while waiting for a Hopkins fight. I do fancy Kovalev but it's a genuine 50/50 fight.

This is a massive step up for Clev if true, and Kovalev don't really have the name recognition for his talent. Props to Clev but I'm calling it now - TKO 3, Kovs favourite round. There's a reason he's only gone 57 rounds in 22 fights and it ain't cos he's got a weak chin.

I'd be very surprised if it's Kovalev. My guess is that it's probably someone at the depths of the WBO rankings at light-heavyweight\super-middleweight, or Shumenov for the WBA. Props for taking Kovalev if the fight is made though. :good As others have suggested, Kovalev could be a very tough fight for little reward at the moment.
