I'm not trying to say Clev is like Calzaghe, I was just using him as an example of a volume puncher's record.

Clev has miles to go before being compared with the acheivments of JC.

You rate Calzaghe a lot more than most, don't ya Slip?

Yep, I just give the man his props. He mastered a style of slapping up points that worked for him and was very difficult to figure out. Joe and Roy Jones are somewhat similar to me, very special fighters that have a style all their own and i wouldn't recommend anyone to try and recreate.

It's just soo frustrating because his achievements don't match his talent levels, so he left room for people to argue against him. I know what i saw and Joe was special. Just look at the little nuance things he did...he had great anticipation. He suffered from the times, the era he fought in and his lack of confidence in himself, which he didn't gain till late on.

I have no idea who you're talking about here.

But just for the record the old 'A beat B and B beat C so A will beat C' is bollocks to me.

Froch wins this fairly comfortably. Of course things could change in two years or so, if Cleverly continues to improve.

Murat was so slow he looked like he was throwing through treacle the other night and he was still catching Cleverley consistantly, and more so as the fight went on...Froch would walk through Cleverley and hurt him badly

That sounds like you're missing the point.
