Clev's next fight will be sending Bernard Hopkins into retirement by KO at the Millennium Stadium Cardiff, Clev's next fight after that will be against Carl Froch after Froch gets beaten by Ward, Froch will realise there is nowhere for him to go at Super Middleweight, Ward better than him, Kessler better than him, possibly even Bute so Froch moves upto Light Heavyweight for a British showdown at the City Ground Nottingham where Clev beats Froch by KO and sends him into retirement.
I agree with Woodhall, he has a lot to learn and improve on. He needs 2 decent contenders but the champs are winnable fights. Shumenov and Cloud are good but beatable.
should do a thread on clevs next 10 fights, last few can be him beating both klitchskos by KO then retiring undefeated
Clev is only 24, which is young for a champion at Light Heavyweight, Shumenov is 28, Dawson is 29 and Cloud is 30 in a couple of months. Strength and stamina tend to come with age as well as experience. Clev has a huge potential, he has a good chin so he is going to be hard to stop and has good punch output, so Clev is going to be hard to beat on points, when he reaches 27 or 28 he will have even more power and stamina, so we will have to watch this space. If Clev is still winning in two years time then we do have something special on our hands, its Clev's next couple of fights that will tell us if he have unearthed another diamond from the same mine as where Joe Calzaghe came from or not.
Diaconu,Shumenov,Sukhotsky 2 of these 3 would be good fights IMO. No gimme's but keeps him at learning stage and allows him to develop. Something i don't think he's done for a while tbh. Pascal,Dawson and Hopkins are to good for him at this stage. Cloud is winnable but dunno if that's the sorta fight Frank will work towards for Clev.
Quite a lot of Clev v Froch talk about in the press now, at the time i mentioned it there was no talk in the main stream press of Clev v Froch, after the Froch v Ward fight i still think that Clev is too young, too fast and too big for Froch, Froch could even get hurt if this match up happens ?
