Hi everyone! Who do you think was a master of tie up his oponents and sort of "destroy" their boxing? Strange question, yeah I know but I can´t really remind me of someone who was extremely good at it, probably my memory slips me. All the best the Predator
yes ali was good at it and when he fought frazier he pushed his head down and leant on him.joe bugner used to do it too !!
Ruiz is the ATG of clinchers. Evander Holyfield did some mighty fine clinching in his plan to beat Tyson. Hopkins was mentioned, and rightfully so. Hopkins uses the clinch very effectively. Lennox Lewis was good at leaning on people and wearing them down. Jack Johnson was a great clincher, or so I hear. Footage from back then is unreliable at best.
was a brilliant strategy too, it takes alot of work trying to keep up someone elses body weight up like that
Yes, Ali was great at it. Gonna check out Hopkins tonight. Yippie for youtube! All the best my fellow fighters The Predator
If you intend to put clinching in your strategy, I advise against it. Judges don't like it an ref's will penalise you in the amateurs
Hi curly. No I don´t plan to put it in my workplan but it´s good to know different types of teqniques and sometimes you have to use it even if you don´t want to. All the best The Predator
look at Tommy Hearns he didnt know how to clinch in the 1st fight with Leonard and look what happened
