    Hi everyone!
Who do you think was a master of tie up his oponents and sort of "destroy" their boxing?
Strange question, yeah I know but I can´t really remind me of someone who was extremely good at it, probably my memory slips me.

Roberto Duran was good at holding to stop punches coming back at him sometimes

Ruiz is the ATG of clinchers.

Evander Holyfield did some mighty fine clinching in his plan to beat Tyson.
Hopkins was mentioned, and rightfully so. Hopkins uses the clinch very effectively.
Lennox Lewis was good at leaning on people and wearing them down.
Jack Johnson was a great clincher, or so I hear. Footage from back then is unreliable at best.

Johnson is a good shout but boxing has evolved so much and he did tend to wrestle

If you intend to put clinching in your strategy, I advise against it. Judges don't like it an ref's will penalise you in the amateurs

    Hi curly.
No I don´t plan to put it in my workplan but it´s good to know different types of teqniques and sometimes you have to use it even if you don´t want to.
