Whos resume is better Clinton Woods or Joe Calzaghe?

Woods: Prime Roy Jones jr, Tarver, Glen Johnson (3 times), Julio Cesar Gonazles (2 times)...

Calzaghe: 43 year old Popkins, Kessler, way past best Eubank...

    Id say Woods.

But man, he was HORRID v Tarver.

That fight sucked for him. I remmeber I did the round by round for that fight I think...

    err yea

I ended up doing a RBR for that fight instead of watching Cotto v Gomez lol

Look, when he fought Eubank, he wasnt at his peak yet, so I consider that a pretty good win. The hopkins win, good. The fight wasnt even that close. The Kessler fight-great.

Woods-Lost most of his big fights.

    I give it to Joe.

Woods has fought the better guys by far but the problem is that he lost some of those fights.

better names on his resume perhaps, but you also have to take into account career achievements in "resume" imo. calzaghe unified a division, is a 2 division title holder, has held a title for a decade etc......

in that regard calzaghe's resume is better than woods's.

Woods lost most (all??) of his big fights. Easy pick.

Eubank lost 4 of his last six fights, one of those was to Joe. The two wins were to unknowns. He took the fight at very short notice, because Collins pulled out, he was weight drained and retired after two more matches which he fought at Cruiser. Eubank was nowhere near the fighter he was after the Watson incident years earlier anyway. Despite all this he gave what Joe says was the hardest fight of his life.

You may say Joe wasn't at his peak, who knows, Eubank certainly wasn't anywhere near it.

How do you know Calzaghe wouldn't have. At least Woods had the guts to get in the ring and for that he should be credited rather then credit the man who didn't.

I thought Tarver looked really sharp in that fight, working his jab and moving very effectively.

Yea I though Tarver, surprisingly, looked very good in that fight.

JC may well have lost to the same guys that Woods lost to but Woods hasn't beaten the men that Calzaghe has. JC has the better resume, easily.

Woods has fought the better fighters, Calzaghe is the better fighter of the two.

Shame Calzaghe doesn't have Woods courage.

Calzaghe ducked out of the fight with Glen Johnson (that is fact), Woods got in the ring with him three times. You were unaware that Woods had even beat him.

Yea Tarver fought great. I gave Woods one round. Tarver basically dominated him.
