How are you going to go and credit Woods with having a good resume when he loss to every single fighter you listed?

you have to remember other fighters unwillingness to get into the ring with joe aswell, woods was just another mandatory alot of the time, yes woods has fought the better opposition but the fact is joe has won all his fights while woods got heavily beaten by the best fighters he stepped in with other than glen johnson and i see that win as controversial.

you forgot to add jeff lacy to joe's resume, the manner of victory was unbelievable.

Personally, on resumes, I give more credit to a man who gets in the ring with the best and loses then one who fights a lesser opponent and wins.

So you go with the guy thats proved nothing? Where are Peter Buckley and Seamus Casey on your all time list? Pretty high I'd imagine?

Just what I was thinking. Buckley, a complete journeyman, would rank higher than every current British boxer under this individual's system.

Gonzalez isn't even a name, he lost to an old ass broken Reggie Johnson in his next fight.

Johnson beat Woods in all three fights, was screwed in two of them.

If you're crediting Johnson as "a great fighter" then Lacy, Reid, Woodhall and Mitchell are all at his level.

This is blatant "I hate Joe Calzaghe" bull****. I don't hate Woods, he's built a respectable career but when you've lost to every single major opponent you've ever had, you can't be considered to have a good resume.

Especially when your best win (Johnson) was highly disputed.

This is about boxers resumes. Personally I think Glen Johnson is a better boser then Jeff Lacy, you obviously rate him higher for some reason.

I know Woods beat him, but if Glen Johnson and Gonzalez are the best wins you can come up with against Lacy, Kessler, Reid, Woodhall, Hopkins, Brewer, Mitchell, Eubank etc then its a poor effort.

Right, then Ross Purrity has to have the best HW resume of the last 25 years.

Kessler and to an extent Lacy I agree with. I don't know what's so impressive about the other wins.

An important part of a boxers resume is whether they won or lost the fights they took part in.

This is only because you know jack **** about Reid, Woodhall, Eubank, Mitchell and co.

If you knew the level at which these guys performed in the mid to late 90s, you'd know they're not bad wins to have on a career.

Surely better than beating Gonzales and losing to Jones and Johnson. I really can't beleive this is a contentious issue....

Yes and it also has to do with the quality of opponents faced.
