Clinton Woods V Mikkel Kessler how would such a fight pan out sylewise?

*Obviously Mikkel is yet to fight at LH*

People are going to say this is a total mismatch but there we go... the questions been asked...

I think Kess would kill him. He got owned by Tarver, who's been horrible as of late.

To be fair to him he beat Gonzales, and Glen Johnson... (though some dispute the victory/s)...

How does Clinton stack up compared to Kessler's opponents so far?

Is he that much worse than Mundane? He's a more decorated fighter than Andrade...

At this stage of his career though, it would be a mammoth task, just for him to pick up a belt again.

I say Kessler, UD. Kessler would be moving up in weight, and Woods has been fighting natural light heavyweights for the past 10 years or so without being sparked. He was completely outclassed by Jones and so his corner put a stop to it resulting in the KO. Woods does have a good chin. They're pretty close in size, but I see Kessler forcing the pace and landing enough on Woods, who is far less mobile and technically skilled, to pull a wide UD. Can't fault Woods' heart though.

That having been said, there's still business at 168 for Kessler to take care of - Bute, and the Taylor/Froch winner. In terms of Kessler's exposure to the American market, I'm almost pulling for Taylor to beat Froch so that Kessler can come to the US and thrash Taylor in front of his home crowd.

Referee stoppage. Woods can take a good punch, so he'd eat Kessler's combos all night. Somewhere around R8, the ref would step in or the corner stops it.

That sounds about right,i think Kessler would be to fast and accurate for Woods who would go out with pride but know his career is over.

    Kessler UD.

Woods is a lot tougher than given credit for, he was basically a punchbag for Tarver who was loading up on him all night..... yet never looked like getting stopped.

Woods is being underrated on here, people are judging him on the Tarver fight,he does occasionally stink the place out,but he gave Glen Johnson 3 extremely tough fights including a win and a draw, and has posted a couple of good wins against Gonzales. He is tough with decent skills i wouldn't think Kessler would destroy him at all, although i'd take Kessler to win by a pretty close UD.
