https://streamable.com/9xb4e This is just one of any number of fights from the past few decades where a knockdown ends up leading to a 20+ second break in the action. When did this become so common?
How many high profile fights have there been where the name guy tried to bail himself out of getting knocked out by doing something asinine? Arturo Gatti complaining about a low blow after a body shot from Tracy Harris Peterson, in what really could have been a one round stoppage win for the severely undersized Peterson. Diego Corrales spitting out his mouth piece throughout his career, obviously most notably when he was able to recover and rally against Castillo. Kermit Cintron jumping out of the ring and feigning injury and later outright quitting during bouts. Felix Trinidad, Wilfredo Gomez & Miguel Cotto all bailing themselves out with testicle destroying power punches when in a spot of trouble.
Psst BE... Have you ever considered.... trying to... you know... sharpen your stagnating trolling? At least stroke my funny bone if you're going to jerk me around such!
That's how I feel being stuck in this thread with you BE. Guess which one respectively are between the person and shark...
Yeah he took a few tumbles out of the ring over the years, and I think some of them may have been con jobs by ol' B-Hop...
I’m not sure I follow. If Barrera was not prepared to proceed at the count of 10, the ref could have stopped the fight, in theory.
