No he didnt say he was astounding either.He said he was astounded by the improvement he had made ,given the fact that Lowry is said to have had him on the verge of a ko in their first fight and many thought Lowry deserved the decision this is hardly surprising, even Lowry never professed to having won their second fight!

Where is your evidence that he was enjoying his power ? The ringside reports said he was frustrated and annoyed he couldnt get Savold out of there.
Can you think of a single fight in which in which Marciano did not try with everything in him to score a ko?

I love Marciano but I am not at all impressed by that clip.

 

He is a fighter you have to first understand how he was trained to use his limitations to his advantage and had to really study to appreciate....his stance alone is one that doesn't make sense unless you take into account his short arms and powerful kegs....then you understand his setting on his back leg forcing opponents to reach into his range and strength to connect little Charlie Goldman knew what he was doing...he was sloppy because he loaded up because he could....for the entire fight and good knows he wasn't outboxing anyone

2,You do not see what Arcel saw because you misinterpreted ,[either by memory lapse or willfully ,only you know ]what he said he saw.

I've seen all the Marciano footage and began watching it in the 60's on super 8mm film, I don't require anyone breaking it down for me and ,particularly you, and I mean that without any rancour or animosity,its just that I have seen some of your breakdowns and I rarely see what you do ,and it appears I am not alone in that!
It will just be easy and convenient for you to label me a hater and be done with it, then the impasse goes away!

No criticism of Marciano, he took advantage of what was there, any experienced boxer would have done the same thing as would most novice amateurs. Slipping a jab and throwing a right hand over a jab that comes back low is one of the first things that boxers learn in the gym.
